Bieniemy or Shanny for HC

Time to get rid of Hawk. Losing to Montana State and now this.

Maybe see if Shanny would do it for a discount, if not then give Eric Bieniemy a shot to coach this team. The guy is a GREAT recruiter with plenty of coaching experience and won't put up with this mickey mouse crap we saw tonight.

With any luck, Bieniemy will even tell Nike to take their crappy uniforms back and give us our old ones back without the maxi-pads stuck on the shoulders.

No chance in hell with Shanny

And as much as I would like Bieniemy as coach, he has some "character" issues from not only his playing days but his two years of coaching here. (not to say that I don't disagree with his methods, I just don't know the powers up would want this kind of PR here).

A lot of the former Buffs wanted Embree when we hired Hawk.. I still think since he was on the staff during the recruiting controversy and the other stuff that he will never be the coach at CU and was given a token interview by Bohn just to please Buff alumini and ex-players..

I dont think Shanny would be interested in any college job. He will be in the NFL next year.

I don't think Eric sas the experience needed.

But I agree that a change is needed!

Eric Bieniemy hasn't had any problems that I have heard about since he was at CU about 10 years ago. How long will that incident be held against him?

I'm not holding against him, but others who aren't fond of football or him will use it against him.

I fully support a hire of EB, I'm just stating that there will be issues with some people if we hire him fair or not..

That I agree with, no matter what happens there will always be some people that dont like any hire that is made. Simple fact is though, if he wins, you won't be able to hear those people unless it is something outrageously wrong.

I don't think Eric Bienemy will ever be "polished" enough to be a head coach at CU.

He wouldn't fit the PR mode necessary for the job.

Your right. My response was a little over the top. I apologize.

Apology accepted, I probably owe you one too... Sorry.

I am just saying though, the guy may have had a DUI or whatever it was about a decade ago, but from what I know, he is highly respected in the football world and hasn't had any problems since.

A former Buff, great with recruits, NFL experience, and on the younger side, not to mention he will probably come fairly cheap. Seems like a no brainer to me.

DAVE mother ****ing LOGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!

Worst idea ever.

At this point, I'd say Dave Logan would probably have a better game plan and better prepared team than Hawkins would, and therefore he'd be a better hire. We are not using or preparing our most talented players for gameday at this time.

We got out coached tonight. Fairchild brought in a better coached team with a freshman QB that looked night and day better than our starter with 2 more years did. The dominated the line of scrimage on offense and pushed our OL around on defense.

What really chaps my ass is the continuation of the BS on offense where the playing calling is highly suspect. Hell, we never went into hurry up mode and virtually every play took the play clock down to zero. The biggest clue to the problem; Daryl Scott spending most of the game on the sideline.

Im highly concerned about seeing Fairchild and Kerr on a yearly basis as they appear to have their act together.

I just don't want to see Hawk fired without a plan though. I think Logan would be a horrible hire as HC. Maybe as Bieniemy's OC or something like that, but a HS coach isn't what we need. I do have a feeling that he would have had a far better gameplan than Hawk did tonight though, and I am sure he would have made more adjustments than Hawk.

Lets see what happens. If they lose a string a games in a row (god please no) then Bohn might be smart to can him mid season. If not he has to act swiftly before recruiting goes down the tubes which suggests a plan would be in place.

time for us to really think way outside of the box, Turner Gill.

TG would be a strong hire, imho.

Recruiting is already in the can (4 recruits...compared to the rest of the conference!!!!!!!!!!).....get real.....if he goes 1-3 in non-conference (which I predict), can his ass.

I think the buyout language doesn't drop to the $500k range until the season ends.

Might be. Would former CU players / alums accept Turner Gill? I doubt it. If they were pissed when Embree/Bienemy were passed over for Hawkins - just imagine what they'd say if those people were passed over for a Husker!!
