Sorry if this has already been discussed - I'm too tired right now to read all of your posts.

Respect your team. Respect your players. Respect your coaches too, even though they are paid to put a decent product on the field. Respect them, because they're fellow humans and represent your school. They do a lot for your program.

Now, to all those little ****ers out in the student section that were chanting Tyler Hansen in the second quarter need to get some alcohol out of their blood streams and some intelligence in your ****ing idiotic heads. Tyler's running ability was not going to win that game for us, nor has he yet to show in games an ability to pass the ball well. They had their middle LB playing a zone often and would have tracked Hansen down if he ran, which he has a bad tendency to do too quickly.

I'm not arguing that Cody played great. I do think he played okay though, even though he made some bad plays and his bar is set low. However, to have his team's supposed "fans" (most of which are too ****ing dumb to know NOT to cheer loudly when the offense is at the line ready to hike) call for his job is embarrassing. You disrespected him when all he's done is lead his team, been a consummate team player and given blood, sweat, and all-out effort. Grow the **** up and learn to treat your players well. Get upset at the outcome, and be disappointed in the team - fine. But don't humiliate a player. He's not paid by you. The athletic and academic budgets are separate. He owes your parents nothing. He's given more to this team than most of your sorry drunk asses ever will. Show some ****ing respect.

Why do you think the students that are new to this program should drop $50+ to see this team drastically underperform? (again)

Why do you think the students that have already seen this team drastically underperform (for 4+ years) should be expected to be unconditionally supportive when all they have seen is fail after fail after fail?

At some point we either

1) have some expectations
2) stop pretending we are anything more than a pretentious, glorified CSU.

I didn't hear that and it's not classy. However, the fans were not the only ones "calling for his job," the half time commentators speculated that Hawkins would start Hansen in the second half to give the team a spark because things weren't working.

The sad fact of the matter is that Hawkins is not a good QB. He lacks size which leads to tipped passes, and because of his diminutive stature, he is clearly afraid to get hit. He rushed passes before plays had developed, had sloppy mechanics, and was behind or too high with his receivers all game long.

When you don't have a good QB on your team, the back up QB is always the most popular guy on the team. That's the case with CU.

Hmmm, I didn't hear the students chanting Hansen's name from the other side of the stadium, but if that is true, I will say that they are smarter than I gave them credit for. Hell, they had better adjustent ideas than the coach had.

Cody obviously didnt play well, and couldn't avoid their rush many times. When he gets pressured in the pocket he makes bad throws or goes down. At least with Hansen back there, we would have had the option of a QB running for his life to pick up the first down. I am also thinking that he could of scrambled for several first downs instead of throwing the ball sideways for a 2 yard gain when Hansen could have kept it and ran for about a dozen yards.

Hansen had his moments where he was the better option last year and that was with him not knowing much about the system. With over a year experience now, he can't be worse than he was last year?

Yeah the coaches do a lot for our program but they get paid, dont they?

Its not as if Hawkins is making $5 an hour, now is it?
As long as Hawkins is being paid more than many brain surgeons in Colorado earn, we have every right to lambast him when he does not produce results. Is this not the same man who lambasted parents talking about this aint intramural sports!

Please dont give us any of that BS. If you want us to shut up and not dis-respect Hawkins, ask him to win. Otherwise, he can coach us for free and then we'll gladly stfu. Even at that I doubt too many folks would.

CU is not a charity where we should be thankful that someone is doing a lot for our program. Maybe we can fire Hawkins, hire a real coach and then have Cody's dad run the PR department. Then, he could continue to do "a lot for our program" while we get a real coach to do a lot for our football. Deal?

Our student section had their full of Cody/Dan Hawkins after quarter #1. If you were in the student section and didn't hear it you were intentionally not listening.

And to think I actually thought we had a good chance to be 3-0 going in to the big 12. At this rate, I am just hoping we aren't 0-3.

The offense wasn't moving the ball and, worse, seemed listless.

The coaches told us all offseason that they planned to use both quarterbacks.

Is it too much for a fan to expect that Hansen would get a series to see if he could light a spark?

Wasn't this what we were led to believe was the plan this year? (That and pounding the rock with Darrell.)

Yeah! Two things I fully expected to see tonight:

1. Hansen scrambling for first downs at some point tonight.

2. D. Scott getting at least 15 carries.

i was chanting for tyler. seriously i have total doubt about hawk sr now. hawk jr should not be playing d1a. he is so short, and yah it does make a difference. and what was with those sacks? goddamn that was a horrible game to watch.
