This is it, other than this, you can write me off the Hawk Bandwagon.

The last time we lost to csu in Folsom, we beat Nebraska in Boulder that year, so we got that going for us, which is nice!:smile2:

And if it's the year I'm thinking it was ('86), CU was not ranked at the time of that game and NU was #3. :sad2:

NU's only other loss that year was to OU.

need all the microscopic sunbeams we can get today

Here is an extra ray of sunshine---- remember that someone siad that this year seemed to set up like 2001? Well, so far so good-- CU lost the first game, just like in 2001!!

BCS bowl, here we come!!! (and maybe another beatdown of the fuskers??)

I was thinking about this. The feeling I had after the game was similar to the feeling I had after Fresno and after Montana State. However, this feels more similar to Fresno because in both cases I went into the game feeling like we had some question marks but overall I was optimistic for the season and we lost because we failed to show up for the first half and then made a game of it in the second. Montana State I felt like our team just flat out sucked and the game proved that. I don't think this team flat out sucks, so I hope the comparisons to the Fresno season can continue, I guess.

Funny. I was at the Fresno game. Let's distinguish that game from this one.

1. We should have won that game, and were in a position to win it (even if we were down) until our QB gave it to them in the last minute.
2. The Fresno team featured a future #1 draft pick ( i think?) or at least first rounder, at QB. Not so here. In general that team kicked ass all year.
3. The team did not look totally inept for most of the game, just rusty.
4. The wideouts were actual wideouts.
5. We had more than 21 ****ing yards rushing.
6. Our Oline didn't get manhandled all day in that game.

I really want to believe the analogy, but I just can't.

Thinking back about that game, you are right. There are very little comparisons between that team and this 2009 team (I know it's only 1 game) beyond the LOSS of course.

That 2001 team had an identity. This team is on a sinking ship that their captain is sabotaging with his moronic decisions. He's a self centered, stubborn, inept, idot who has failed on the field of battle time and time again.

Disagree - I think if Scotty doesn't fumble in the CSU red zone w/ a quarter and a half to play, CU makes it 17-21 and goes on to win vs. CSU. Much akin to "if Ochs didn't throw the pick in the end zone" CU would have won the Fresno 2001 game.

I'm jumping on your sunshine post - we still have a good season in 2009 and go bowling.

'Course, CU went 0-4 to start the 1986 season ... :sad1:

but, if you can guarantee a one loss conference record like in '86, count me in!
