Support the Buffs!

WE DO SUPPORT THE BUFFS!!!!!

Sit back and read a bit before you come in here claiming to be a better fan than anybody here....

Might be the first person I actually put on ignore. Simply "Super duper effort team!" over and over again does not make you a good fan.

Forget about the losers talking about a new head coach, transfers, recruiting and blah, blah. Here's to CU kicking Toledo's collective butt's!

sonny, i was supporting the Buffs with my wallet for a couple decades before your ass was even whelped.

don't try to lecture us. what you'll discover is we are the small minority of CU fans who actually give a **** and who actually put our money behind our words.

if we had more fans like those on this board, CU wouldn't have a financial gun to its head.

that's a fact, kid.

Wow, :wow:. I think the point of starting this thread was nothing more than trying to reassert a positive atmosphere to this board.

FIGHT CU!!!

I took it as that but I think when you start off by calling other fans losers, it gets people upset..

The mere fact that that you say you were supporting the Buffs with your wallet before my ass was even whelped" makes you about mid-seventy, which means it is highly probable that you don't even know how to click on "reply" let alone make one. Either that, or you misunderstood me. I'm trying to drum up some support against a wave of spoiled, negative attitude. But if you're hurt by my referring to the bandwagon fans here as losers for bashing and abandoning the Buffs so early into a season, then yes, I understand your sensitive feelings.

the negative atitude is completely legit and well earned. I am still going to every single home game. I am still watching every single away game. I will still cheer my ass off every single game. Don't diss our fanhood for losing faith in a COACH. I have all the faith in my program. So **** off.

Look orphan annie, the sun will come out tomorrow but spoiled. bandwagon fans? You kidding? This program has LOST at LEAST 5 or more games every year since 2002. You there? Under hawk, we have lost 10,7 and 7 and now lose to csu at home and we were dominated and you want fans to ho-hum another loss like hawk?

Gasp, how dare the fans want more from a coach and program when the off-season was all about the new attitude and 10 wins. With as pathetic a showing and coaching display, this is tame. How do you think fans at Michigan, ohio state or anywhere would respond if they were in our situation the past 5 -6 years?

I'm negative because i've seen nothing but negative. You lose all cred when you start questioning fans loyalty. Just win and all the bitching and moaning will stop, but the inept coaching and losses continue to pile up.

Unlike hawk, fans are tired of the same responses and losing. Hawk seems to think this is a 10 year rebuilding process. You blaming fans is hilarious, how about some accountability for the man in charge? The CU fans here are LOYAL and under the circumstances have every right to voice their displeasure. I'll be watching CU on friday night with my gear on and hoping for a much better game and win.

Hard core fans actually care what their team looks like and if you think a trend like we have been seeing with hawk the past year and one game is good for CU football, that is where we disagree. If hawk can turn it around, great, he better. If we are losing recruits because of the product on the field then you have to make changes and after what we saw sunday there is not a lot of positives you can take from it.

Buff fan for life!

:noob: I love the BUFFS, and I wear my passion for it on my sleeve, if I didnt care I would be here, I'd be an apathetic "former" Buff fan. I rant becaue I care, and I know we can do better. Barnett said it well when he said CU is a goldmine.

I was a Buff before Hawk came and I'll be one after he's gone. I always pull for my team, and, sometimes, pulling for my team includes asking the hard questions as to why other first and second year coaches show improved teams and my team's performance continues to be unnoticeable. If you are happy with losing more than winning, fine, but I'm going to agitate for something better for my team. Maybe that includes a different coach, maybe not. It's starting to look a lot like maybe. And I couldn't care less what anybody else thinks about it.

i AM supporting the buffs. i don't want people like darrell scott and tyler hansen to have to put up with another 2-3 years of hawkins. it's not fair to them.

you're right. us being sick of what appears to be our fourth straight losing season in a row with absolutely no improvement in the coaching (including a 2-10 season somewhere in there) makes us spoiled. you should just stfu

Seriously bro, coming in here calling us losers and spoiled for demanding excellence is not getting off on the right foot. I would say the majority of us are pretty cynical right now and we are asking the hard questions because there is nothing to be gained by blowing sunshine up hawk's ass. He knows he's not getting it done, we know he's not getting it done so now is the time to act. There are still some sunshine pumpers and folks who are satisfied with whatever product is out there on the field. To these folks winning 10 games would be sweet but if we only win 3 they won't lose any sleep over it. I'm not one of them.

Holy Toledo! Yes go team go! Fight fight fight. Shoulder to shoulder in Boulder forever! We will outlast Toledo.

Hey coward, take your sheep *** elsewhere or post with your name at ramnation. Then again, fecal suits you.

I read quite a few posts on buffzone from Buff97. I appreciate the Buff support, but regardless how harsh the criticism on this board can be regarding our coaching staff... I very seldom see someone break rule #1 and when they do they are roundly chastized by the rest of this community.

Rule #1 (paraphrase) Don't talk bad of the kids!

I find myself sometimes embarrased that I care so much about this team... seems that as an adult I shouldn't care as much. But I do. I grew up watching this team. My family traveled to Bowls and away games... season tickets for over 30 years.

I think it is just fine to ask questions... look for answers... display some passion!

I want to see a beast on the field wearing CU black and gold... right now I have serious doubts that DH can deliver, just like I did when say Fairbanks coached the team... I guess I was wrong in doubting him too?

Financially and emotionally I support CU, their students, and their student athletes.

I also want what is best for all of the above.

Always.

And yes, this sometimes colors my perception on things...

I am not a loser, take it back.......we care and we are passionate about our BUFFS, not fly by night fans, but fans that put every ounce of emotion into this team, these kid and this school, so that gives us the right to rant and rave the way we feel best.......

I support the Buffs, I always will, forever. I dont support its current HC (and to a lesser extent the AD), it does not, and will never mean I dont support the program, the players, the team, and the school.

Go go Buffaroos! Let's fight fight fight shoulder to shoulder in Boulder forever! Who's going to the gayme on Saturday? Anyone want to tailgate?

Listen, the 1st thing all of us TRUE Allbuffers offer is our support of the Team. Our support comes in many different forms. We also offer the best constructive criticism you will find ANYWHERE!!! We want nothing but the best for our school/teams. If we sat back and didn't say anything, then what kind of alumni & fans would we be then? I graduated CU in 76, so I've seen them thru the goodtimes, mediocre, & bad times. So if you want to take us on, you came to the wrong place. I hear Matt Thompson calling you!

We don't blindly support our football team like the Husker fans in Nebraska and we are not afraid to rip Hawk a new one over a game like this. We support our team but we reserve the right to ask the hard questions and rip the coach. If anyone thinks we are ripping Cody, we aren't really ripping Cody...just the decision to start Cody in the first place over a QB who has better running abilities and who can become a better passer like Tyler Hansen.

In his defense, I do feel four years is not enough to turn around the train wreck that was the Barnett era. I mean, its rather unique situation Hawk ran into; cupboard empty (we had six o-line man two years ago), playing in a power conference, relatively little ties to Colorado hs for recruiting...ect.....Theres two trains of thoughts.....the old timers that have seen dominance, and us newbs. For some of us newbs, it seems strange that people want to axe Hawk after four years of crappiness. But Mizzou, and KU were in similar boats and sticking with their underachieving coaches led to long run success. A four year turn around doesn't seem COMPLETELY feasable. Possible, yes. But were not like ND, were we get our picks of recruits, were not like North Carolina (playing in a mediocre conference), our team is young as Hell (a converted running back as our safety? ZOMG). I say support Hawk; its what Bill McCartney was adament about this summer...and unless your saying McCartney is completely out of whack, its a suggestion we should weigh heavily.
