Missouri

Did everyone see what Missouri did to Illinois? This is the Missouri team that "lost everybody" and was "reloading". Looked a lot better than our huge, embarassing failure.

They could put another 55-0 esque beating on us in Boulder. Maybe that will be enough for Bohn to fire Talkins.

Yea, no kidding. That team looked like it could be better. Before the CSU game, my brother said we better hope we turn the corner fast because we are about to be left in the dust by Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri.

I have it on good authority that we're going to kick Mizzou's ass. Count on it.

Wow Sackman - that's a BOLD statement. I take it you must have something pretty sweet up your sleeve to make a prediction like that after what we've seen...I'm lookin forward to seeing whatever it is that you've seen

I like it. But I can't figure out how you are going to spike their pre-game meal. I hope it works, though. Otherwise we're ****ed!

While Mizzou did surprise me Saturday lets not forget Illinois. The Illini went 5-7 last year, so it's not like the Illinois game was a huge test. However, yes I did pick Illinois to beat Mizzou.

I don't think we have as good of a chance against Mizzou this year as I previously thought because of what Mizzou did to Illiinois, rather based off what I saw Sunday night.

Sacky are you sending Tila Tequila to the Missou locker room?

Nope. I've been converted, though. I've been saying for a long time that Mizzou will still be very good, even though they lost Maclin, Coffman & Daniel. I said that they still run the same system and they know how to run it very well. That the players that they do have understand it and know how to execute it. Furthermore, I've been saying that our defensive gameplan for the last three years against them has been nothing short of horrendous, and that if we don't get it worked out, we're in for another epic ass kicking.

Then Leash told me that it was in the bag. Not to worry. To count on it. So I'm confident now. Bring em on!!!

My thoughts about CU/Mizzou have changed, with a lot of that having to do with CU rather than Mizzou. We'll see, but it's looking like I will be wrong on this one.

Pinkel has been there for a long time (9 seasons). They suffered through a lot of mediocrity before getting to the point where they are now. He'll still have problems closing the season, but a good recipe for success is not necessarily a new coaching staff after a few years. Mizzou was able to tolerate it because they've only now started to reach a high level of play on a consistent basis (when was the last time they had a conference title of any note before 2 years ago?!).

They do return a 1000-yard rusher and one of the better O-lines in the conference, but even with that I too was very surprised at this result.

All of us in the B12 North are hoping its more that Illinois is a lot worse than expected more than Mizzou is better than expected.

I think that is something we can all agree on.
