Simas is coming! :woot:. **** TH or any of that jazz, lets just have a goddamn WR that the coaches will ****ing play instead of Espy. Someone who can get open. And catch 50/50 balls. ETC. Wyoming is never gonna know what hit um!

Hopefully, stewart is back also. With scott finally getting his chance and doing well, adding speedy won't hurt and simas should also give us a bit more in the passing game. Simmons was praised by hawk for his speed, hands, hops and athletic ability. For once he needs to do the right thing and gte his butt in the entire game.

Amazing, hawk says scott did a nice job , when he gets into a rythym. NO ****:wow:

Should be a simple 50 point win, I think we have this and the back nine in the bag. :bandit:

Do you think he will see any playing time???? Simmons has been on the side lines for the first two games, watching the likes of McKnight and Esg. getting the bulk of playing time....

I do, because Simmas isn't learning the offense, he has been here 3 years, he knows what to do.

god if he doesn't... that would be awful. Hes been suspended, so lets hope he does.

....... He played pretty well in the Toledo game. What did he have 10 catches for 100 yards? Even tho we threw it 54 times, that's still impressive. He showed some elusiveness and went up to catch a fade in the end zone...

he got a lot of catches by simply being in a spot in the zone while Toledo was playing near prevent defense after bieng up by 30... sorry, but those were garbage yards against the BACKUPS of Toledo..

I appreciate all the hard work Espy has put in for this program, but he is not a Big 12-caliber WR and he certainly is not a starting Big 12-caliber WR.

Maybe. But he is certainly better then anyone else we have right now sans Simmons

He is better than Simas? I know we have yet to see the guy play, but I really have a hard time believing Espinoza is our 2nd or even 3rd best WR. It is like Valdez has been saying recently, I think the coaches are playing Espinoza a lot to prove some kind of weird point.

I'm seriously not seeing where you guys are getting that Espy isn't a talented football player.

I think it has become clear the this staff favors players who are "do gooders"

Smart, hard worker, good tackler, couldnt cover my 8 week old in open space but tries really hard.

Sumler, well rounded back with no breakaway speed, cant block all 3 guys coming clean in pass protection and yet he tries really hard so he plays more then any other back.

Espinoza, should be playing at UNC in Greeley. That being said, he tries hard and gets loads of PT.

To sum this up, Hawk was used to blue collar, not highly recruited guys that came in to Boise and overachieved. See Avila (sp) on staff GA. He figures that guys who work harder will end up better in the end. ITS THE BIG 12! That weak as **** will not work in our conference. I am not bashing any of the above. It is all very apparent to see.

Smart should = 1st down and run stopping situations. Should never ever ever be in any sort of pass coverage.

Sumler should = No PT on a division 1 Big 12 football team. That is with the talent we have in our backfield.

Espinoza should = Scout team WR on a big 12 football team. A guy at 5'8" that cant run a 4.4 40 should not be on the field.

Simas will probably not play much...

What about Ebner?

....Surreal. All due respect to the kid for his rudy-like performance but catching 10 passes against Toledo's non-defense makes him better than anyone else we have? I don't know what message hawk is trying to send by playing him over Simmons and Wright but I hope it's comforting to him when he's working as a janitor at Boise West High next year.

Toledo game. Had some nice YAC. What has he shown to make you think he's not talented? The color of his skin? Unfortunately that's likely what it is

Then explain to me what makes Espinoza a talented player. I'm genuinely interested because I do not see much speed or quickness. I do not see any sort of height that creates matchup problems. I see a guy who can run decent routes, but nothing mind blowing.

Umm... UNC produced Vincent Jackson. I think they're getting better receivers than we are.

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

You're hanging on to the Toledo game? Seriously? We threw 54 passes! Most of the yardage came in a garbage second half. You could have put out any number of guys at Espinoza's position in that game and they would have matched or exceeded his production.

It has nothing to do with his skin color. It has everything to do with a guy who is slow, lacks quickness, and is short. In what ways does he create matchup problems?

I really do hate to bring up the race card but it is the color of his skin imo. I've seen posts on why are we playing McKnight, Espinoza, and Ebner, when Wright, Simmons and Jefferson should be in there. Ebner being in there makes no sense. Wright and Simmons are good for the fly routes but not that much more now... and unfortunately Cody doesn't get enough time to throw those

McKnight has earned plenty of playing time. He is the best route runner on the team. Espinoza is not nearly as good a WR as McKnight, it is not even close. But keep playing the race card, it will your argument air tight.

Give me a break! McNight, Espinoza and Ebner would all be 4th string on any other Big 12, no make that MWC team. They are short and slow.

We threw 64 passes. I totally agree with your point about the garbage time production. I knew that hawk defenders would point to espy's 100 yards and Cody's 4 touchdowns as a positive as though we didn't all watch the game. That's the sad thing about scoring 38 points, it provides the illusion that the game wasn't an out and out humiliation by a second-tier MAC team.

McKnight no. Espinoza and Ebner yes. Unfortunately that's all we have right now. If you want a converted CB project of 2 weeks in there before them... I don't know what to say.

Wright made a good catch against Toledo, Simmons made a good catch against CSU. Add in Simas for Wyoming who has been the best WR on the team the last 3 years, but hasn't seent he field and I think you make the job for the QB a little easier, than if they are throwing to those white boys. yes I said it!:smile2:

Yep. Better then anyone else we have at the moment.

Just because he is a 5'8 white walk-on doesn't make him slow and garbage
