Parking

Hi guys. I'm making the trip down to the game next weekend, and was curious about the parking situation at Folsom. I've heard nasty stories from fans of other teams saying that when they went to the game in Boulder their cars got messed with. I've got brown & gold all over mine, and wanted to try to avoid the areas where I might be at risk.

Don't park at the Safeway near the Millennium Harvest House Hotel. You will get towed. You can park at the 29th Mall for free. There is also a free shuttle to the stadium.

If you don't want your car messed with, avoid the Hill. Other than that you should be good. I guess it depends on how obnoxious your car is.

ditto the Base-Mar center on baseline. they are nazis there. pay the $ and park at the Law School. 29th Street is not a bad option. and walkable if get the creek path.

okay...i am gonna give you a line on a secret spot, wyo. google "darkhorse, boulder".

free parking, within walking distance and a nice walk across campus to the stadium.

and they have great burgers, pre-game or post game. park on the side closest to the mountains.

good luck next week, your boys are walking into a serious buzz saw...i kinda feel sorry for your team at this point; we are gonna be tough to beat.

My "secret" parking lot. There is a high school near campus "New Vista High School" where you pay them to park there. It is a fundraiser for the school.

You then walk north, cross broadway and walk across campus to stadium. About 10-15 minute walk, but your car should be safe.

I honestly can't remember what we paid, but somewhere in the $15 to $20 I think.

Location is:
700 20th Street
Boulder CO

if you want to mapquest it.

The stadium is at Colorado Avenue and roughly Folsom St. so you can see how far the walk is (and you will walk past our Allbuffs tailgater if you walk through the central dorms near Farrand field.)

Why pay when you can just park anywhere along the street?

By the way, other than drunk idots, I don't think buff fans are particularly bad about vandalizing cars, opposing colors or not. I would hope not.

I understand that. I think it's a little expensive.

it is worth it though when we are talking about the safety and security of a fully adorned brown and gold sedan with wyoming plates...i'd be skeptical about leaving that on the street.

especially that close to fraternity row...

Yeah. It'll be trouble if he parks near the frat houses.

I just dont think anything will happen to his car. Most of the strories online are wildly exaggerated.

work with me here, vj....we are trying to get some fundage for the school by exploiting the ignorant wyoming fans.....sheesh!

I'm still skeptical...

actually it might be around $5 but I figured I should guess high and let others be pleasantly surprised.

It's not that near fraternity row, it's a couple blocks up from baseline and broadway.

It's the old Baseline jr high. I know where it is. I also know they were asking for more than 5 bucks in previous years.

Yeah, I didn't actually pay, so I can't remember. It's easier to forget when it is someone else's wallet.

I just thought it was a great spot, and cheaper than the $20 for the garage near Engineering --- if you get there early enough. AND the school parking lot allows SUPER FAST access to Highway 36 both directions.

Leaving the CU campus parking lot or structure means a very long wait in traffice.
