Hawk interview post-practice...

"we are right there... not in wins and losses, but right there"

"take away a couple drops and penalties, and we got 600 yards of offense"

"just got to clean a couple things up on Defense obviously"

:bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

"just a few little adjustments on the D here and there" minor stuff..

:wtf: Defense is almost there?

"We're finding ourselves on offense"

"You just have to do what you do, better"

"What happens when we don't have to play from behind?"

Those were really, really dark glasses.

Wish I could have seen his eyes when he was talking...

Seriously, what were his post-practice comments?

I have to ask myself if he really believes that. CU only moved the ball offensively after Toledo let up. At the end they had their scubs in the game.

They are going to see much more talented teams coming up. Oh well.

Maybe he has some validity, we did have alot of missed opportunities:
- Overthrown ball for TD to Scott
- Overthrown pass to Moyd for a big gainer
- Dropped pass by Geer for about 30 yards
- Dropped pass by Espinoza on third (I think)

On defense :
- 1st possesion 3rd down - They rip a pass for about 60yards and a TD
- Last possesion of the 1st half - Long QB run on 3rd and long ( did that result it a TD)?
- On third down right after we scored off the fumble (game got close) , QB runs up the middle for a TD.

The Geer drop was embarrassing.. 5th senior right in his hands.. :bang:

Cu moved the ball well in the first half, we just couldn't get it in the end zone and had some missed opportunities

Hasn't Hawk seen Any Given Sunday?? ITS A GAME OF INCHES BUDDY. We're missing out by feet and yards. We're not that close. Where's that fan to tell Hawk CSU and Toledo aren't good teams?

In the first half CU averaged less than 4 yards a play. Their deepest penetration was to the 15 for a FG after that the closest they got was the 30. Sorry, I don't call that moving the ball.

"We just need to clean a few things up on defense" Yeah coach, like a complete new staff with the exception of cabral.

His defense gives up 600yds to a mac team and it's just a few minor details.

Btw, did you hear him say he and his coaches need to do a better job? This smell the flowers approach of his is a joke and the players are probably thinking they didn't play that bad. So, no motivation to do better next game.

The thing that disturbed me the most was the reference to losing 5 games in a row. Like that's an acceptable outcome.

Bohn's OU and texas reference to getting the right coach was even better. They are sinking and they still think people believe this soft approach.

Yeah, that was precious, how it takes 4 or 5 coaches to get the right one. Which would give you hope, except then he says we aren't abandoning Hawkins. Someone, somewhere within the athletic department has to have some rational thought and string it into two consecutive sentences!
