Bohn getting "props" for the schedule

That's a joke.

Bohn scheduled a Saturday game followed by a Friday game.

Fox offered a national broadcast to move the Saturday game to Sunday. Not sure Bohn had much choice but to take that cash.

It was still no different on prep time than the Saturday to Thursday turnarounds that ESPN has teams do every flippin' week.

That said, it was definitely to Toledo's advantage to have an extra day to prepare and to be playing at home (so no travel).

But we should have been playing Miami (OH) anyway and would have been if not for ESPN.

Nice to see they got all the facts and stuff correct at least ...

Frequently those national snippets get little things wrong.

That article misses the point: We should have won both. Easily.

That we did not is certainly not Bohn's fault.

Granted, I'm more than a bottle of wine deep. And I didn't read the article. But when you start the season with CSU and Toledo, there shouldn't be much to bitch about.

Bingo! The schedule is NOT the reason we look like dog s*** right now.

It's actually pretty remarkable that we got so many tv games this year considering how we played last year.

Longevity is thought to be a factor in the success of Pinkle at Mizzou, but giving a coach 9 years is no guarantee.

The fact that Al Groh is in his ninth year at the school speaks poorly of Virginia's athletic administration: He has recruited remarkably well while fielding remarkably mediocre teams. If Groh is around for a tenth, the ACC should kick the school out of the league.

What were Virginia supporters saying 5 years ago?

Bohn got us two national TV games to open the year. arguably, that's a great showcase (recruiting, growing fanbase, reaching out to alumni around the country) for a team that's going to "break-out" and have a good to very good year. exposure, revenue, PR is Bohn's job.....along with hiring-firing.

i don't blame him for the schedule. Sunday-Friday was not ideal for a road game, but a "10 wins, no excuses" team wins at Toledo 10 times out of 10.
