Booing at the game

Don't do it - have some class. Booing the coaches will also be interpreted as booing the team and that won't help. These kids have worked hard and I don't know if anyone has questioned that. I hope we are all cheering once again, but if it's bad, keep the boos to yourselves. Be supportive and have some class. Booing the coaches will do no good.

**** that. If the team comes out like it has the last two weeks and you wanna boo, do it. You cheer to express your approval of something and you boo when you don't like something.

Respectfully disagree 96. Booing your own team can't possibly do any good. Cheering them on can have a huge impact, booing will only make things worse for the men on the field, make us look like assholes in front of the nation and make any recruits present less interested in coming and playing for us.

Cheer them on when they play well, cheer for them even louder when they are struggling, and send emails to the AD, write the editorial team of your paper, sign petitions and donate cash to get rid of the bad coaches.

You are joking right? Recruits aren't exactly signing up right now to play for this outfit.. Hawk is last in commits in the Big 12.. It has nothing to do with the fans booing. Not there fault Hawk and company can't recruit.

Well Jimmy, will booing make that better?

Could showing recruits that they are coming to a program where they will get massive fan support regardless help? Might it? 1% chance? Any slight little chance at all?

Are there potential recruits coming this week?

If you think the fans are going to cheering if we are losing to Wyoming you are nuts.. Wyoming sucks.

Well, if you're a recruit on a visit and you hear the fans booing the team, what would your reaction be?

Fans do play a role in recruiting.

What recruits? Guys who could not make the cut at CSU and the School of Mines?

it's not just the recruits. How about current players? How many left when Barnett left? Nebraska supported their team thru the callahan crap and frankly that is the only way to do it.

As long as the players practice and do their off-season workouts like we know they have - 100%, I will support them 100%. Booing is spineless. Grow up. There are many ways to voice displeasure with the coaches, and booing just ends up dividing the fans from the team. I don't think that's the point.

On a personal note, I don't boo college or high school. Pee Wee, though, that's another story. Those little snot machines need to learn that there are consequences to playing like a candy ass and that life isn't all sunshine and rainbows.

Next you'll be mocking frat bros, college republicans, and hipsters students which give it their all everyday at CU while also supplying the students with coke or wearing shirts that say "1997 Ohio State Fair" or a faded print of a rainbow and a wolf.

I resemble one of those things.

I never boo college players ----------the zebras yes----the kids no. Pros are different they are men - they are 40. I think booing college players is low rent.

What if everyone Boos as loud as possible all together and then chants "We Want Shanny" for a few dozen times and continues back and forth for the whole game? I am down for that!

But yeah, all booring should and probably will be directed at the coaches. Too bad for Cody because he will probably get some too.

Booing? Is this a joke? What if I have a ghost costume on? Maybe the boos will be interpreted as a tribute to "casper" wyoming?

Ok, if leaving in droves at halftime is supportive. Or throwing trash on the field when your team is getting it's ass kicked by OU, or when you are sending death threats to the AD. Ya, the husker fans are prefect little angles, **** no, they're just like anybody else.

So what would you suggest we do when the team plays badly? CHEER?

Maybe everyone should get up and go to concessions when there is a bad play.

Or how about this, an entire stadium sits in stony silence when the Buffs give up another long one. When the Cowboys hit the end zone their fans will cheer and our players will hear it and get a warm and fuzzy thinking the cheers are for them.

Really, you say don't booo - then you also need to have a suggestion for what fans are supposed to do when the team stinks up the stadium brutha

I believe those wonderful huckster fans someone spoke of left in droves, right in the middle of the game when things were going bad during Cally's reign. I think footage of that fact was even on this board for a while. Maybe this would be good - administration might get the message - like walking out of a bad movie.

It got something done in Nebraska

I did not boo during the csu game. I did throw up in my mouth a little bit though.

IF CU comes out and lays an egg tomorrow. Buffs stinking it up and behind by two TDs in the 4th QTR.... you bet a boo or two will come from me.

If Pissbomber's comments are true then that will be a perfect time to let Bohn know it's gone way too far and a change is needed.

don't tell me what to do...I'm a grown a$$ man....sorta...

The concessioners might alleviate some booing if they sold zoloft, paxil, percocet, Prozac and St.John's wart.

Gimme a lemon ice with an oxycodone boost, please. And geauxoooooooo Buffs!

booooooooooooooooooooo, you suck hawkins! boooooooooooooooooooobooooooooooo
