50,535 was the attendance. I gotta be honest I thought we would be lucky to hit 40,000 for this one after our first two games, and even of we were 2-0, I would have been surprised at that attendance.

I'll tell you what, Colorado gets a bad rap for their attendance, but thinking about it, it's not really that bad even in years past. Ya, we don't sell out every game like Nebraska, but we probably fill that stadium up 80-95% of capacity for almost every game the last twenty years. That still is not bad, not as bad as CSU fans putting 20,000 in a 35,000 stadium. Props to the fans!!!

From where I was sitting, It looked like a pretty good turnout to me. Since our next home game is almost a month away against kansas, What we do on the upcoming road trip will have alot to do with how many attend that next home game.

I also was very impressed by the turnout....team looked terrible going into this game, we're playing a crappy MWC team and the place still was packed....major kudos to the students for not giving up already & showing up as well!

there were empty seats scattered around, but it looked good! Bummed to see lots of students/fans leaving before the game finished in the 3rd quarter.

hawk was going super conservative, it was nto a fun game to watch. My friends and I, however, took the opportunity to sing the fight song with the team cause we sure as hell can't count on doing that again this year :sad1:

It was a damn good crowd. I went to the game figuring that there would be a lot of empty seats. That a lot of people that bought tickets would simply decide there were better things to do on such a gorgeous September weekend. Buff fans impressed me yesterday.

It was a nice crowd, we were in the 101 section for the 4 for $40 and it was a good turn out of CU fans

Has CU posted how many season tickets have been sold?

Great crowd. But by all means, lets fire Bohn along with Hawkins.

Getting 50,000+ people to come watch a pillow fight between two awful football teams is nothing short of miraculous.

:yeahthat:

Great job by the AD and staff to get butts in the seats. It doesn't matter when the tickets were sold, or how imo. Great job.

The fact that Wyo only brought about 1000-1500 fans makes the amount of people even more impressive.

Yeah, it really was great to hear it was such a solid crowd. After the past two games, I really can't fault anyone for not showing up. The fact that that many came out for WYOMING when CU was reeling is amazing. That's a really promising for the rest of the year.

I know this has been a weird season and most of us want Hawk gone, but I still want to win and I'm glad the fans showed up to support the program.

I have a question, I know most of you hate the Huskers but what did you think of our game with V-Tech? I am sure you were happy we lost, but what I would like to know is if you thought "Geez, NU played pretty well considering" or if you thought it was just another crap loss by us because we have lost so many big names in a row now. Just wondering.

Arrrrghh. Husker thread jack.
:hijacked:

I thought this was about CU's attendance. This game could have been about booing and CU fans throwing things on the field and being ejected and displaying once again to the B12 how Colorado fans are the worst in the B12. But that crisis was averted because the Buff players did not give up on the coaches. The coaches did not give up on the players, and the fans were not pissed off enough to give up on the program.

(PS. I have long thougth Nebraska has had a deal with the devil in which the Cornhuskers are granted an uncanny ability to pull off miraculous last minute victories in exchange for selling their souls to the color red and being located in Lincoln. So VT's win shook the foundation of my belief system.)

Early on it looked as though there was gonna be alot of empty seats in the south end of the stadium but those ended up getting filled in nicely. Great crowd in the end considering the current state of the program and the opponent.

The crowd in Austin last night to view TT-UT was 101,297. That's a B12 regular season record. Ka-Ching.

It's getting to the point where a team has to have a 100K seat stadium in order to compete anymore. It wasn't that long ago that 75,000 was considered a huge stadium.

The video board at Royal-Memorial looked enormous. Not Jerry Jones enormous, but bigger than huskervision.

It makes the video screen at Folsom look ancient and inadequate.
I wonder where a new videoboard is on the facilities priority list?

Some are going the other way. The Stanford stadium took out some seats when they did their renovation (from 82K to 75K or something like that). I guess sometimes more not better it just makes your team look less popular.

I agree. We need Smiling Bob to help us with our inadequate screen.
