Just thought I'd start this thread since there are hopes among many Buff fans for a new coach ASAP.

And hey I know most of these choices are not available and never would be.

this is silly. i'd take all of those coaches except the boise state guy.

and there is basically not a single name on that list who'd be a candidate to actually come to boulder, imho.

I see Liver picked all the coaches except Peterson. I guess any coach is better than what we have. I agree BTW. I'd even take Chris Peterson.

edit: Dammit Liver you posted as I was typing this.

Yeah I think I said that and thanks for the vote of confidence

I wouldn't take Tressel or Spurrier for starters. I either don't like their brand of football or think they would not be that good for the program

no offense intended... but, hell, you are talking about a list of very accomplished coaches there.

a lot of national championships between them...

those guys aren't coming to boulder.

carroll, stoops, meyer, mack brown... shoot, i'd trade 50 hawks for one of them...

strange... when I saw the post there was no poll or anything. just a nonsensical post... Which of course, is pretty normal around here

hell, reading that list again, i think all but 2 of them actually have won national championships.

CU would need a personality transplant, a complete administrative regime change, and for ralphie to start crapping 5 pound dumps of solid gold for any of those guys to consider coming to CU.

The system makes you type the post first and then publish it. After that screen you go to a screen where the poll part is created.

It´s sacrilege to even talk about Bob Stoops coaching a team not named Oklahoma.

Um. Im thinking Tressel and Miles are upgrade at this point no matter how you slice it.

I can see the upgrade part, I just don't like Tressel's brand of football. His ultraconservative approach doesn't get it for me.

I know, I hate 10 win seasons every year. That brand of football sucks.

I'd take Vince Okruch over what we have now. Your poll is nothing but an exercise in self abuse and I've been married 30 years, I am tired of jacking myself off in dream land. Lets get a young up and comer that we can afford. It's not rocket science for Gods sake.

After seeing Koetter at ASU and now Hawkins, I think Boise St coaches need to think happy thoughts and stay home.

Everyone but Spurrier and Mack Brown..

Not sure if Spurrier's heart is still in it and I don't particularly care for Mack's coaching decisions.

the rest are all elite coaches although Stoops, Carroll, Saban, Meyer and Tressel are at the Top of their coaching profession.

If I had to rank them.
1. Meyer
2. Stoops
3. Saban
4. Carroll
5. Tressel

Beamer and Miles are on that next level (and probably Mack Brown is on that one although I wouldn't want him coaching my team)

Gotta see more of Petersen before I put him on that 2nd tier.
