#6 Cal @ Oregon

Cal getting some ass-whoopin. so much for them in the top 10.

unless they rally. Ducks putting the stops on Best.

I foresee a nice three way tie atop the Pac 10 this year. Probably all two loss teams.

They have unleashed Chiang Kai-Shek in his living palefaced form- Mark Helfrich!

Riddle me this. Helfuk sux at CU and now he hasnt done a bad job today and last week? :wtf:

So what's the problem then?

Helfrich getting some love from the crappy Pac 10 announcers.

no need to worry, we have smashmouth ball right here in Boulder.

wow, 39-3, this isn't pretty... esp since two different stations here say "or miami/vt" which is the game i want to watch... instead i get this and ohio st, who had zero yards passing at the half!

I totally think we'll play Cal very tough next year ... I still believe our offensive line will be a monster. Maturity of guys like Givens and D-Scott, return of MTM, Solder as a senior playing for Sundays, maturity of Simas and Simmons, Hansen at QB ... we will be a massively productive offense.

I guess I'm down now, but I'm bullish on 2010

Cal also returns Riley and Best. I'm sure they have more 4 stars running around their team than we do. We also play @ Cal.

Seriously, we're 3 games into the 2009 season and we already can't wait for 2010.

I would say there is a very good chance Best may leave for the NFL after this year.

Oregon will always be.... Oregon.

Though Tedford is a good coach, I don't see him ever getting Cal into a championship game. They notoriously choke when they are highly ranked.

CU @ Cal would make for a great road trip!

I'm shocked people actually think Hansen is going to be the starter next year. The coaches have given Cody the lion's share of reps in games/practices for three seasons now and that will continue in the Spring. Then they're suddenly going to bench Cody? Riiight.

If the truth is being told , the purpose of redshirting Hansen is because both Cody and Tyler were so close this spring, it was advisable to redshirt Hansen to create more separation between them chronologically. Then we have Tyler for another year after Cody graduates (two more years, actually.)

Since both can play next year, and there's no advantage to saving Hansen's redshirt in 2010 (since it will be used), the QB competition will be heated up again. Don't forget, once Clark Evans gets situated, he could also be in the mix. Nobody knows if Seth Lobato will remain a legitimate contender at QB.

Next year Cody will be a possible 4th year starter though, how often do teams just up and replace a 5th year senior and 4th year starter?

Simple answer. If Hawkins is still the coach, Cody will still be the starter.
