This is the kind of inspired move that was necessary to turn this defense around. He brought fire, speed, and some serious hitting power to the team! Penetration, good angles, etc, Burney had it all yesterday.
I really hope they stick with it, because I thought BB was our best player against CSU not named Jimmy smith. Him being off the field is inexcusable. He is obviously in a different athletic category then either Mahnke (even when healthy) or Perkins. Plus he brings some serious fire to the D.
And on the touchy feely note, the guy deserves a chance to show his stuff in his last year here. Getting benched behind CB must have hurt. I just hope the staff sticks with this move.
Both the browns played very well yesterday. Jalil was gangbusters! Oh, and I loved the fact that the D basically had 4 calls the entire game. I bet CB loved getting to blitz on every other play :lol:
