I agree with Alfred

Listening to Al's radio show on Friday, and Al said pretty much everything that I believe. Funny thing is, Al has made a complete turn around from the first couple of games. He said that you have to see how the season plays out and that it happens all the time in football that a team turns things around during the season. So, basically, Al believes the team has shown improvement and that it isn't out of the question that CU gets this thing turned around this season.

If Hawkins doesn't get it turned around, then it is time to re-evaluate after the season is over.

In this economy, because Bohn is a bonehead and gave Hawkins an extension before he'd actually done anything, I think they have to...unless the only people to show up at Folsom Field are the opposing teams fans.

When it comes to sports and Mexican food I agree with Alfred 100%. Everything else in life and he loses a few percentage points but not too much.

Gotta love Alfred!

so basically, because Alfred agrees with you, NOW he is ok?

The OL performed much, much better against WVU than they did against anyone else. The QB play is still not as a good enough level to be a contender in the North. We are still struggling with WR. Our DC is calling the wrong plays and isn't putting the guys in the position they need to be (safeties in man coverage on an island?). Things can turn around, but the culture is going to have to change to one that wants to win.

I don't see that right now. I hope I'm wrong and I see it live, in-person at DKR this Saturday.

Yeah, that about sums it up. Hey, when he went off and said, on the radio, that Darrel should leave, I was pissed. But I've always liked Alfred. When we lost to CSU, I was pissed as well. And I went off. But I got over the anger. Now I just want to see this thing turn around. I think Alfred had pretty much the same epiphany.

Well, I wouldn't count on that turn-around coming in austin. The only chance they have for a turn around is at home vs kansas.Even then 2-4. I had an epiphany on friday too, the cu football program has gotten worse under hawk's watch.

 It's pretty damn clear.

I know we aren't going to beat UT. My hope is that we show heart, not quit, and keep it respectible. Texass has owned us for a while now.

I agree with Alferd.

This team needs more scholarship kickers and punters and Disney movies are ****ing hilarious!

But of course.

Hawkins agrees.

DBT, just want you to know I'm sitting with you on this one. I am not ready to throw the towel in on this team and the season.

There are actually psychological studies on this. We tend to think people who agree with us are smarter than those who don't. Makes sense to me. If you want me to think YOU are smart, agree with me.

I knew this board was full of dumbasses!

The key to an effective offence starts at the QB position, and that is where this teams turn around stops. You can’t win games if you can’t score points.

I understand that and I agree with you that the effort, heart, keeping it respectable and not quitting are important here. On the other hand, I see it as what's ****ed up with this whole situation. This is the University of Colorado and here we are just hoping we play hard and dont get blown the **** out. Im sorry but there is something wrong with that.

Yeah, I understand your point. So I will be satisfied with nothing less than a win!

"Things are gonna change now, I can feel it!"

 NOT!

I admire your optimism, but c'mon man. Nothing will change as long as we got Juicebox. I for one am not okay with the CU Football program "losing in style" and being the laughing stock of the Big XII.

I expect, no, I DEMAND that CU be a dominant force and win football games. The coaching staff and fans should too. We should expect nothing less from our team.

Its complacent attitudes like your's and Al's that got us into this mess. It's NOT okay to just put up a good fight and lose with dignity.... Not even close! F-that! CU football is all about winning! Its about smash-mouth football and mother-effing dominating teams!

If you think anything less than winning is okay, you should go get in line with the other kiddies for your juicebox and orange slice.

Go Buffs!
