For the Sake of this Program!!!!Reply
I have posted on this board for a while now and in that time I have supported Coach Hawkins, I have supported this program, these players and the goal we have all wanted here.

My involvement with this program is something I cannot mention so please don't ask. But what I can mention is like most of you I invest a lot of money into this program. I have seen practices, I have been in on meetings and I have had one on ones with many players and coaches. I keep quiet on a lot of issues and behind the scenes type things. So where am I getting with this? It simple I want whats best for this program. To Succeed and Win!!!

I have mentioned before that I am in all support of our players first and foremost. All my optimism lies within them. I have spent the last two days getting in touch with some of the players to get their perspective on this season, the staff, whats happening on the field and this program. I will tell you this right now what I got from some of these players gives me no reason to believe in Coach Hawk and his staff anymore. Now I am not going to get into detail in what was said and I apologize for that to you guys. I have rules to follow as well as I do not want to start any unnecessary rumors or mud flinging.

It is apparent from the things that have been said that the problem is pinpointed on "NO TEAM UNITY" and NO "Trust or Respect in Hawkins". Thus is why I am posting this information , because it is a true concern for the sake of this program and a even more clear note that change is needed.

Its quite clear Hawkins has lost control of this program and its players. And for the sake of this program change needs to happen and fast. Again I wont get into details so don't ask but if this season does not turn around and change does not happen, we are going to start losing some of our top players. I don't expect any to leave during the season based on what has been said, but many want to see how this season turns out.

I don't want to see any players leave. I want this season to turn around. But the pressure needs to be on Hawk and CO. They need to understand the importance of the season and what it has on this program.

Ladies and Gents we need to get together and make our voices heard. But we need to make sure we keep it professional and mature. I am going to take that step forward though so our voices are heard and its understood we want our program to succeed even if it means funding a buy out and bringing in someone that will get it done.

I am going to offer for you guys if you would like to write letters and email them to me. I will make sure they are put in the right hands and read by the right eyes. NOW I WANT TO BE CLEAR ON SOMETHING. DO NOT EMAIL ME JUST TO VENT, THAT IS WHAT THIS BOARD IS FOR. YOUR LETTERS NEED TO BE LEGIT AND PLEASE NO BOOK LONG LETTER. BE STRAIGHT FORWARD AND PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE PROFESSIONAL WITH WHAT YOU SAY AND THE WORDS YOU CHOSE. I WILL NOT TAKE ANY LETTERS THAT CONTAIN FOUL LANGUAGE OR IMMATURE MATERIAL. WE ALL ARE ADULTS AND KNOW WHAT THAT IS. SO AGAIN BE STRAIGHT FORWARD AND PROFESSIONAL.

The reason why I am doing this is because I do not want to see this program any worse than it already is. I want voices to be heard and for the right reasons. We are the ones that fund this program, this product, and this passion of ours. We believe in CU and want success in our Football team.

Something needs to be done and change is needed. Thanks for you time!!!

Wow. Who are "The right hands and the right eyes"? Are my letter to Bohn and (hopefully) my well-thought-out conversation with Bohn this weekend in Austin focused to the wrong audience?

I know this is just internet rumor right now, but other than D Scott, do we have the potential of losing good players to transfer after this disaster season? yikes

Inthebuff...

Are you the one putting this together? Or is this just from another site.

Not me-

This is a guy on Rivals.
CMART3511 at YAHOO dot COM

Sounds legit and thought that the more letters e-mailed to him
the better our voices are heard.

I don't think it's for real. Too many grammar errors, etc. Doesn't sound professional for someone with such connections.

And his email address?....CMART? I guess he means SMART?

I absolutely HATE wanting to get on board with a good idea but not being able to because of refusal to associate with poor spelling and grammar. I'm gonna sit this one out.

Hmmm, has anyone ever thought that this could be sabotage. IE, this is some Cornhusker fan trying to stir the pot.

There is absolutely nothing in the first post specific to CU - this easily could be any joe-shmo writing about any program, that seems fishy for someone "involved in the program".

I'm not saying they need to divulge secret info to prove themselves, but there's nothing that even shows us this person knows about or is involved in the program...do we know anything about this character? Does he/she have any reputation on the Rivals boards?

Is CMART3511 at YAHOO dot COM implying that Bohn isn't the go-to-guy for our concerns about the program?

Who could he be passing our letters on to? Influential alumni perhaps? Or is that a bogus troll post??

This is ridiculous.

The e-mail addresses for Bohn, Hawkins and the regents are well known and publicly available. This person can do no more than give the letters to those people. Maybe they have the ear of the regents somewhat, but we know Bohn reads and generally responds to every e-mail he recieves. There's really no need to go through a third party here. The only way to GUARANTEE your voice is hear is to write the people who matter directly, not to go through some random internet third party.

Maybe they can put our letters in the hands of the donors, but I doubt many of the donors care what we think. Most donors already have their mind made up one way or another, and the donors that matter generally have a very good idea of what's going on within the program. Ultimately it's their money and they're going to do with it what they please. Many of the donors are already speaking with their pocketbooks, which will drive far more change than anything we can do.

Don't get me wrong, we NEED to be writing Bohn and the regents to express our displeasure with how things are going, but do it directly and do it professionally.

I agree with you 100% what is the advantage of channeling them through a single per person other than to give that person power. Maybe I am wrong but it is pretty easy to contact the powers that be at CU.

Hawk, Hawkins, and Hawk and CO aren't specific enough to CU for you?

Replace Hawk with any other coach's name on the hot seat and tell me it wouldnt' work for any other football team.

Just sayin there's no reference to specifics of what has the fan base so upset...when Pissbomber posts, there are details, that while not giving away anything secret, show that he is in the know...my .02

He's legit. There are many different ways to skin a cat.

Pissbomber, I hold your opinion of the program above most - for an out-of-state, small donation, go to 1 or 2 games a year Buff alum, what is the most effecitve way to get my concerns to the right people?

Bohn via email or conversation if I see him at the CU/UT game,

or CMART3511?

Hmmm, has anyone ever thought that this could be sabotage. IE, this is some Cornhusker fan trying to stir the pot.

individual on Rivals has been a member there for two years-
from what I've read he/she is legit-

can't hurt to not only send an e-mail to Bohn but also to
CMART3511 at YAHOO dot COM

the more letters on Bohn's desk/in e-mail the better

Maybe he was thinking of Cody's passing ability when he wrote that.

If anyone would like to mail me $3million for Hawk's buyout, I will make sure it gets to the "right person" - scout's honor. :smile2:

I'm just saying that's one thing that makes it sound funny...this guy sounds like a young person. How many young people know big donors and have connections to them?

I don't know how many young people know big donors. This guy could be one, or not. I was just rolling my eyes at you picking on "slinging vs. flinging" Who cares? I didn't know one there was a correct one, when it comes to throwing mud. :wink2:

Flinging is reserved for poo, and I've already seen enough of that on the field.

SkiTown you silly bastard

You sling mud

You fling poo

It's a common (old) saying..."mudslinging"...mostly done in politics.

I believe so, too.

And FWIW,

C. Mart. is an abbreviation of his real name. That's not meant as a clue to figure it out, just saying it's a regular email address he's using, not trying to be clever by misspelling "smart."
