OK. Dan has officially reversed himself on the statement he made early in the season about benching #7 if he continued to play poorly. He has pretty much shot down any objective way to criticize QB play (statistics are meaningless), stating basically that his son will continue to start... not because he is playing well... not because we are winning... not because he isn't actually playing poorly... but because he was the one under center for the OU and NU games back in 2007.

Have aliens removed his brain and replaced it with soggy Cheerios?

As opposed to play whom?? Lebato? CH is the best QB option available at the time. TH doesnt want to burn his redshirt.

You can't have it both ways. Either CH is the man because he was the QB "who beat OU and NU in the same year" and is also the reason CU is getting it's *** handed to them now, or he had nothing more to do with those wins against OU and NU than any other team member and is like wise "not to blame" for the current Offensive cluster.

Or, he's an okay QB, certainly not the answer, but can get hot and beat an OU or Nebraska when he has some more help.

Cody starts because of a lot of subjective reasons that you couldn't possibly understand unless you've coach Division 1 football.

I'm going with alien mind control. Explains why Juicebox's haircut is so bad. He needs that crazy mop to hide the alien mind probes.

I gotta be honest: I didn't vote in this one because I don't think there's the right option.

Cody is the most experienced qb we have right now and that's why he's playing. The major problem is that Juicebox isn't letting any other qb's see the field (even in garbage time), so he's basically ensuring that Cody is the only option.

Considering the level of qb play we have now, it really couldn't take too much time to get another qb the experience to surpass what we've got, imo.

Hawkins eliminates competition for Cody.

At this point there is more upside to starting the true freshman walk on. Cody is a known quantity.

I went with TH not wanting to burn his redshirt.. again. I can't help but think the guy is afraid they'll throw him in there vs Texas where he stinks up the joint and then it's back to Cody for the rest of the season. They need to pick a guy and stick with him at this point imo. They should've known what to expect this season from Cody, they gave him far too much credit and now we're screwed. At some point you have to get out of the fire and not put all your marbles in practice performance.

"Tyler has refused to burn his redshirt."

I don't believe this is true. I believe he didn't want to burn the redshirt to play in a couple games during the season again.

Isn't that what I just said?

sorry, should have made it clear - I didn't like that poll option. I liked your comment just fine.

Shouldn't have quoted you and then commented another direction.

I'd neg rep myself again for being an idot but ymssra. :smile2:

Best answer. Dan should have spent the 2nd half of 2008 grooming a replacement.
