Even though our team is struggling, we've sold approx. 51,000 tickets already for the game Saturday. If the weather is good, which it should be, we could be close to capacity by gametime. For once I think the fans are pulling their weight right now.

it's also parents weekend (or "family weekend" as we say now)....and the university estimated that close to an extra 5000 people are in town and on campus. i suspect that fills in some of the gaps even if that number is inflated (which it probably is).

I don't care if it's parent's weekend, family weekend, crazy uncle stan weekend, or lipstick lesbian weekend, so long as we're filling the stands with paying customers.

By 'we' you mean CU Fans combined with about 40% KU fans that make the drive. I have a feeling it's going to look like a basketball game out there.

Hopefully this brings another tear to Hawks eye...gives him another kick in the butt to win the next 7 games

paying customers and fans in the stadium are often two different things.

jus' sayin. though, i expect a good turnout. i think people know there's a lot on the line....and it hasn't started snowing in the mountains enough yet.

No way. They'll bring some folks, but their football team doesn't travel nearly as well as their basketball team does. Even if it did, the percentages would be way off. Figure if they can bring 3,000 people to a basketball game, that's almost a third of the entire arena. If they bring 3,000 people to a football game, it's just the corner of the stadium.

Yeah. Don't expect too many KU fans. Several KU football players called out their fans this week (especially the students section). I guess they didn't have a big turnout and then half the fans left at halftime even though they were only up 3 on ISU.

I got this in my email today

CU is offering 2 tickets for the price of 1!
Visit CUBuffs.com/promo and enter the code: "HOMECOMING" to take advantage of this special offer.

Might be another reason for the number tickets being sold

But CU fans are so fickle. We have not taken any risks, like paying a lot of money to watch bad football or anything like that.

That's a great code, but it's for the Missouri game, Oct. 31 (homecoming.)

I know six or seven families from out of state coming in this weekend for family weekend and all are going to the game. There was a deal for parents to register for events for the weekend that could include a ticket to the game, smart.

I didn't expect that many folks at the WYO game. Good to hear there should be a big crowd for KU. It's a big game. I think people are forgetting/overlooking how high they are ranked.

A beautiful day in Folsom field, a chance to see the new QB and a revival of CU football. The average fan will get his/her money's worth Saturday. Maybe more.

Do you know something we don't? I pray that you are related to Nostradamus...

Yes. Despite the awful loss, the buffs looked better against texas than they have all season. I'm drinking some powerful koolaid here, but if the PLAYERS are half as fed up as we are about the losses (and I think they are even more ticked than anyone imagines), they are coming to Saturday's game with spit, venom and fire and Kansas will not know what the blazes hit them.

Heck, yeah.

Heck yeah.!! I'm feeling it now.

Would love to believe that...then I listen to the noxious crap flowing from Hawk's mouth, and the doubt comes back.

Hawk's not the one playing on the field.
We just need the players fired up.

I suspect they are.

well its up to us havent you heard? call them weak, tell the O they cant get points and say that the special teams isnt special, and they'll be so fired up that the D will need to play catch-up on the amount of motivation that will be spewing on the field.

This sheethead of a coach cant do it, so its up to the fans.
