both the nattering nabobs of negativity and the sunshine pumpers can agree that it is high time that Hawkins out coaches someone. While he's come close a couple of times and maybe did once or twice, he has not been a great game day coach. Now, while most of you think he is incapable, I think he is. But he has yet to prove it.

 Wrong again , he's had 4 years to outcoach someone and hasn't. You keep waiting for the miracle turnaround. Why do you still have faith in this guy?

Hawkins outdoing Mangino has a better chance of happening in a buffet line than it does on a football field.

I believe in our players and some Folsom magic, though.

Wow, so you are saying there's no chance?

IMO, FWIW, Bobby Bowden has been successful and has kept his HC job for 33 years all by being a manager. You hire assistants for a reason, to take the coaching burden off the HC. The HC should be a decision maker, game planner, and a manager. Hawk needs to step back and let his coaches coach and see what happens. I think he is too much of a micro-manager to be a successful HC at this level. Decide when to go for it on 4th down, decide whether to punt or kick a FG, coach the WRs, argue with the officials, be a HC and let the assistants earn their money.

Doubt this is the weekend that it happens. And I don't mean that as a slight to Hawk, but the one thing that fat man can do is coach up some pretty average talent. KU rarley beats themselves, something that CU seems to do on a regular basis. I would seriously doubt that we see a team score 3 non-offensive TDs against a Mangino coached team.

But, I guess you never know. Maybe pigs fly this weekend...hell freezes over.. etc, etc.

If we beat them, I doubt it will be due to coaching.
