From Sand Creek in Colorado Springs.

Currently listing Arizona and Colorado as the only schools of interest at Rivals. 3* but I've also seen him on a national Top 100 list.

I've heard that academics are holding him back. Is he going to be a JUCO or is there a chance for him to get qualified and land at CU next year?

we've discussed this guy before - I think if you searched for him, you may be able to find the thread. It might have been deleted as well though, as it was old. Sorry - I'm too lazy to do it for you.

Yes - academics are holding him back. It was either Valdez or somebody else that said academics are really lacking with this guy, and he's most likely a JUCO. He is high on some lists, but not so much on others...I don't know why the discrepancy.

KO basketball has ranked Terry as the #101 prospect in the nation this class.

If he has gotten his academics in order, Terry would be the gem of this class.

Good size for a college PF already. Imagining what freshmen year in the weight room would produce. Good for boards!

what recruiting class? ...it looks like Mayes is gone to Pac 10 and there really aren't too many others that seem to really be on our radar. Bz did state that he was hoping to sign two in the early period (coming up soon in Nov), but I'm really wondering who they'll be. This is a REALLY SLOW recruiting cycle.

ESPN has now put a "90" rating on Terry, but doesn't have an Evaluation written on him.

Dennis Kramer is rated "91" on ESPN. His only offer was to San Diego. Not sure what to think about their rankings.

Honestly, I don't think much of their ratings. It's really a shame that no one does a better job with basketball prospect evaluations. Especially since it's a lot easier than the football evals.

?? I think Scout does an excellent job with basketball evaluations. Bob Gibbons is sort of a guru in bball recruiting - check his stuff out.

ESPN might suck at bball evaluations, but I think there's tons of literature out there on bball prospects. Unfortunately, most of the news are regarding the top players and the top schools, so finding info on CU is tough.

Terry wasn't much of a factor for Sand Creek (6 points) as they lost in the opening round of the playoffs to Fairview.

Big dude, though. Maxpreps has a bunch of photos (copyrighted, so I can't copy/paste): http://www.maxpreps.com/photo/gallery.aspx?athleteid=3250b355-852c-41c3-ab0c-0b070ab81ea3&imageid=75770b34-ec4c-459c-b0ab-a7d63cfc3f39&ssid=61c3c85c-e2fb-45d7-841a-0573891bad91#imageid=7595e2e4-c514-4f29-92f5-87cac337d216

Was at that game. I really hope we don't go after him. He is overweight, has no post moves, and can't shoot. Darragh O'Neill and his brother are far better players than him.
