K-stank, how did they crush A&M?

I figured this would be a battle of the two worst teams in the confrence, but the score surprised me, and I don't know what happened. Did KSU really look that dominant? Or was it a lot of points of advantage situations. I still think Aggy is horrible, so I don't know what to think of it.

Can KSU run the ball? What type of QB do they have?
Is the KSU team that beat Aggy 62-14 gonna show up?
Or the KSU team that lost to TT 66-14 the week before gonna show?

As for COlorado, if we bring the intensity from the last two weeks, I feel we should win, but then there is Hawks road record thing.

Thoughts?

To your point, intensity is key. However, after the win agaist Ku they should be able to focus on getting over there past road woes. It's not like they don't have any motivation. I'm sure there's plenty of areas they need to work on this week to prepare for Ksjuco. I for one feel they need to set up their offensive game plan to play to TH's strengths as well as work on those stupid motion penilties that tend to kill promising drives. I also expect Hawkins to work on a couple of gadget plays or fake FG's, punts, etc. When your playing on the road, and the time is right, you need to be able to pull a couple of plays out of your bag of tricks

They ran th ball for 200+ vs aTm and enjoyed a 5-0 turnover advantage. Alot of those t/o's were deep in aTm territory. I think they run two qb system.

We usually get the skinny on this from Saul but he's been pretty quiet lately.

A&M couldn't do anything vs our starting defense. Nothing worked for them. Offensively we did ok, made a few plays here and there, and controlled the ball for 37 minutes. Scored lots of points of TO's - couple fumbles and picks, and a TD off a K/O return.

It was 59-0 early in the 3rd quarter - that is when we pulled the starters.

KState is an absolute trash team. If we lose to them, Juicebox should stay in Manhattan.

scored a lot of early points off turnovers, and aTm then shut it down emotionally. They were way down at half. Got worst from there.

K-Juco is fired up and they will be a tough test at home imo.

a good football team wins this game. If we have morphed into a good football team, :woot:. I am not sold.

With cu's woes on the road under hawk, this games should make any buff fan nervous. But, they must win this game and start winning on the road sometime.

Perfect opportunity to get a much needed road win. K State can be dangerous, but they can be absolute garbage too. They should be MUCH easier to stop than Kansas, and easier to move the ball on as well. Special teams decide this game IMO.

Formula for winning this game is pretty simple.

Stuff the run.
Don't turn the ball over.

I gotta believe that the win over A & M was more of an indication of Sherman's woes than anything. K State got obliterated by (a very good) TTech, beat ISU by a missed XP, lost to LA Lafayette... Before rolling the Aggies, the Wilcats had been complete dogsh1t. I guess one could say the same about the Buffs without closer inspection.

The same could be said even with closer inspection.

The biggest thing CU has going for it right now is a vastly improved defensive line and vastly improved quarterback play. These were the biggest problems the first two weeks of the year. Whether these two areas continue to show improvement remains to be seen. But CU beat a quality opponent last Saturday due to consistent quality play from the quarterback coupled with defensive line play that stuffed the run and provided good pressure on the quarterback.

I would add the O-line is looking much better since the CSU game as well. STill needs work but pass protection has gotten much better since CSU.

3-16 on the road. This is the goal.

Is it too much to ask for a 50% increase in the number of CU's road wins?

Come on!

aTm is in big trouble, they play Tech this week. Given that KSU is 48 points better than aTm, and Tech is 52 points better than KSU, aTm should lose to Tech this week by 100 pts.
