This is absolute BULLS****. I cannot believe Hawkins has the f'in gall to put Cody in the game again. WTF for? So he can throw more picks??? What kind of message does it send to the team to pull Hansen like this-AGAIN. Two years in a row he has the kid burn a redshirt and then doesn't give him the chance to do something. I understand TH didn't have the best game today, but WHO CARES??? We KNOW Cody can't do S***. We've seen that repeatedly. There can be one reason and one reason only and until this year I didn't believe it-Daddy's the coach. Period. Hawkins wouldn't get a sniff starting at another B12 school, but there he is in the most important drive of the day throwing it to the other team. G**D*****. This assclown has got to be fired immediately. I couldn't watch the game, but AVBUFF told me they had a delay of game penalty to START the 2nd half. How in the hell does that happen??? And don't get me started about Espinoza. Cheese and Rice, please put Lockridge back there. Do something for Christ's sakes. McKnight??? He's the same as Espinoza with a different number. I swear to God if I had 3 million laying around every last dime would be given to Bohn to unload this futhermucker. He is a disgrace to CU and needs to go NOW.

Amen, brother.

It's obvious Hawkins' assistants carried him at Boise State. Bohn got duped, the sooner he admits it, and remedies the situation, the better off the program will be.

In fairness, at least Hawk was trying to mix things up to WIN. Cody is probably the better pocket passer and Hansen better on broken plays/scrambles.

Hansen had the whole game to make a difference and couldn't do it.

Could be worse, Watson refuses to remove our QB OR any of the other folks contributing to the massive turnovers.

Not a good day all around.

I may be going nuts but I was actually laughing hysterically after about our 5th fumble inside the 10.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Funny thing is I'm not mad at all. I fully expected Asshat to put his kid back in. I fully expect his kid to start next week.

This team is gonna suck until Juicebox is gone.

That's kind of how I've always visualized you. Also, I imagine this crazy laughter scenario occurs while you wear the Red Robin mascot suit.

So what? Couldn't make a difference in one game? Cody should be done-end of story. If you want to pull Hansen after less than two games-after making him burn his redshirt TWICE-put in one of the Freshman. Having said that, it isn't about Cody. It's about Daddy putting him in the game in the first place. Give Hansen AT LEAST the same opportunity Cody has had and then make a decision about one of the other QBs.

The real problem is not that hawkins pulled Hansen for Cody. Given normal circumstances, it is not ill advised to put your former starter in to see if you can get a spark. But these are not normal circumstances where the coach is in no way related to the QB.

OUBuff,
The problem with that logic is our former starter is not a D1 QB and it is pointless putting him in the game. What must the team be thinking when they see Tyler getting hosed like this. It sends such a bad message. "I don't trust Hansen in the red zone". "I don't trust him with the game on the line". "I'm playing my son no matter what anyone thinks."

I just don't by the nepotism element to your argument. I honestly don't believe that's Dan's motivation for putting Cody in. I believe that Dan is just a plain idot who honestly believes that the two QB's are equal. The fact is that he is to stupid to see the extra benefits that TH brings.

I thought the same thing until now, SJ. But think about it. If Cody weren't his son do you think he'd be playing? There is no way in hell he would be. I think because Cody is his son he has the blinders on and thinks they're equal. He is without a doubt an idot and too stupid to see the difference.

Good point. I hadn't quite thought of it like that but it makes sense.
Everyone has blind spots, it appears that DH's is with his son's ability.

I doubt the change was family related at all. This was a big chance for CU to maybe take charge in the North. He had to try something.

He could quote RP McMurphy in the Press Conference and say "at least I tried, dammit".

Uuuuuhhhhh....you don't "visualize" me during your "private time" do you?!?!?!?!?!?!

you ever put a cherry in your belly button? i will bet wally has in his dreams. sleep tight. :smile2:

sorry wally. i just could not resist.

Hey... feeling much better now. Just played catch w/ my son. That cures most anything!

Does your son suck at running and throw wobbelly passes that look like a duck after it's been shot? If so---then that seals it. You are really Dan Hawkins.:smile2:

That would hold more water if he had tried using Hansen to give the team a spark against CSU, Toledo, Wyoming or West Virginia when we couldn't move the ball.

I'm actually convinced that Juicebox believes that Cody is the better QB.

Yep.

This team would be better off if Cody went someplace else. He is going to end up being the reason his father gets fired. Dan honestly can't see that what he's doing is detrimental to the team. He really thinks that Cody can get the job done, even in the face of a mountain of evidence to the contrary.

There a mountain of evidence piling up beyond just the QB situation that will ultimately lead to his firing.

Agreed, but his blind devotion to Cody is what is exposing him as being in over his head. Klatt is right, there is a double standard with Hawkins. If Cody weren't even here, Hawks' decision making would be much different.

Bullseye! There is such a f****** double standard here. If the assistant coaches see the same thing as Hawkins then they ALL have to go. Otherwise grow a pair and tell that stupid son of a bitch his son sucks and get the hell out of their way. But what the hell do I know. I've never coached a once proud team into the ground.
