Ok, I made up the number...

But this quote is in no way posted to criticize Speedy... But read it first:

Said Rodney Stewart: "Our players, I don't think they like playing on the road as much. It's something with the fans, and we just don't get as much energy on the sidelines. There's a lot of things (going wrong) playing on the road, and we need to fix it."

How?

"I don't know."

My point... This is Speedy's 10th career road game... 10th.

He is still clueless to how this team will adjust on the road, and doesn't know how to fix it.

Thus, Evidence #4,391... These coaches are just flat out not preparing these players. For those of you who don't think it makes a difference playing on the road and is not something that a division 1 football coach should be preparing for... Please don't post.

There was a piece in the paper today that the Buffs have taken a different approach to road games. They practice on Friday at home and then travel, rather than travel and practice at the stadium they are going to play at.

I don't know if this is a new change or a new Hawk thing and a change from the old regime but I disagree with it. Having traveled a lot for sports, I believe the more time you can spend getting acclimated to your road environment, the better.

Hawk's teams have never looked comfortable on the road.

Further, every other Big 12 team won on the road today.

"It's going to come down to leaders on the team," he said. "At this point, it's not about the coaches anymore. It's about our team taking pride in this program and this school and saying, 'We're not going to be at the bottom of the conference.'

That's Scotty we are talking about. Scotty. Unreal.
