On a KU board a poster suggested this scenario:

KSU ... currently 3-1 ... loses at OU, loses to KU, loses to Missouri, loses at Nebraska ... 3-5
ISU ... currently 2-2 ... loses at A&M, loses to OSU, beats Colorado, loses to Missouri ... 3-5
KU ... currently 1-2 ... loses at Tech, wins at KSU, loses to Nebraska, loses at Texas, beats Missouri ... 3-5
Nebraska ... currently 1-2 ... loses at Baylor, loses to OU, beats KU, beats KSU, loses at Colorado ... 3-5
Colorado ... currently 1-2 ... beats Missouri, loses to A&M, loses to ISU, loses at OSU, beats Nebraska ... 3-5
Missouri ... currently 0-3 ... loses to Colorado, beats Baylor, beats KSU, beats ISU, loses to KU ... 3-5

:wow:

Very interesting....

There is a major flaw in that theory; it has Colorado winning two games.

I actually believe we've become a good home team. (Please don't prove me wrong on Saturday.) If I'm right, we take the Missery, aTm & Corn games. The games at the Clones and Okie Lite become the key to our chances.

yep, I like our chances against Mizzou and NU at home, the two road games, thats a different story.

If you are right and the rest of the teams in the division play out as outlined above, with 4 conference wins that puts us at the top of the (crap) heap!

If we were to lose at home to A&M, that'd be more embarrassing than the Toledo loss

A&M is a tough matchup for the Buffs. They can score points which makes it tough for the Buffs sometimes because we cannot always count on getting 14 points off turnovers.

Tech lost to them at home last week.

by a bunch. i still think we beat ATM, though. and i like our chances to win out at home. a win at ISU, and that's 6. weirder things have happened.

now, if MU makes our D look like 7-7 drills again...but, i think we're pretty salty on D this year and MU can't stop anyone (and hopefully that includes us!).

At this point I don't even want to watch our game @ Okie Lite because of our road record. Do you think the players go into that game knowing they're going to get pounded?

You're probably right, but there are some things in our favor, no Dez Bryant, they play OU the next week, and our guys somehow hung with UT on the road, maybe we can hang in there for a while.

This is probably as bad as the North has ever been since the inception of the Big 12. Flat. Out. Awful.

Oh yeah, we're consistently pretty awful, with a decent game or two sprinkled in once in awhile and i HONESTLY believe we can win the North.:sad1::lol::cry::wow:

The craziest thing about the scenario in the OP is we'd be North champs, I think.

We'd be tied with KU and NU for best division record and would have beaten them both.

since we'd have the head to head tiebreak, why not pull for KU? at this point, we control our destiny minus KSU. and the Cats travel to Norman this week so a probable loss there.

I'd certainly be happy to see it. I don't think I will, but it would be great.

As an aside, if we lose to ISU this year that puts Hawkins at 1-3 against them. That would qualify as perhaps his biggest failure, maybe even worse than his road record or his record against Kstate (also 1-3).

I bet we do. Doesn't mean we're good, but we probably do. Mizzou playing like ****, NU probably has a worse offense than us, and we play decent at home.

Yeah, but you have to score on our defense and that may be hard with your offense. First one to get a safety wins...............

Except for the part about us being 1-3 against ISU, sure.

Hawk is currently 2-1 against ISU.
