Wouldn't that be a hell of a field for a playoff of non-bowl BCS teams at the end of the year? Losers advance each round to determine the worst of the worst.

By record:

Maryland
Vanderbilt
Syracuse/Louisville
CU
Washington State
Illinois

Out of those, I think Washington State is definitely the worst. I don't even want to think who might be second...

I voted Washington State. They're the only team on the list I realized I'd feel somewhat confident about beating if CU played them at a neutral site.

We're definitely not the worst... But the fact that this program is in the conversation is the most depressing **** I've ever even conceived.

I think Wazzu is clearly the worst, but after them it gets kind of muddled as to who is the 2nd worst. And we're right in the thick of that discussion, yet now it sounds like we're going to retain a coach who is 4 years in. :bang: :pissed3:

i would take any of those straight up against the buffs. sad

I know they aren't the worst, but Michigan is 2-4 in conference (OOC they beat Delaware State and Eastern Michigan - big deal -). Which doesn't make them the worst, but it is an epic meltdown for the fans.:smile2:

If only because misery loves company, I find solace reading their current board which includes these thread title nuggets:
"Are we stuck with RR for one more year?"
"I haven't calmed down yet"
"Way too much negativity - support our coach"
"All this talk about replacement coaches is destructive to the program"
"I promised to be positive in this thread..."
"If we fire RR the program will be ruined"
"There's a group forming with intent buying out RRs contract"
"You are not Michigan Fans"
"we seem to have no shortage of complainers here. Any of you want the job as coach? you sure seem to know alot! "
"Could our S&C coach be part of the problem?"
"Are we losing recruits because of our season?"

"RR needs to upgrade the talent - including coaches."
"Firing RR is not the answer"

Maybe I'm the only one who gets a kick out of seeing their fans react and overreact to a series of disappointments. It puts CU in perspective. We sound woefully familiar, and I realize it's a typical reaction from any fan base who expected more, who felt they were promised more than was delivered.

As far as CU being bottom of the barrel. No, we're not the worst. I'm wearing my gold blinders again - I still think there's talent on our team, and I still think Hawkins means well. He really could be a week or two away from everything clicking, or it might never click. I can't tell anymore, because I always guess wrong. Beyond that, I just hope for good weather on game days. It's all I ask. Sad, really.

Well, at least they don't have a thread titled "RR is a piece of **** coach". Because that would just be wrong.... :smile2:

Well, I couldn't quote them all.
It's a far more active board than any CU board I've ever visited, but the scout mod is ruthless about removing inappropriate threads.

When he deletes a thread, this is all he posts:
This Board is for Information and Civil Discussion

:smile2:

WSU definitely the worst. We're in the group fighting for 2nd worst though. Purdue just beat Ohio State like two weeks ago so I think they get a pass for the year.

I don't see us beating any one of those teams on that list save Syracuse and what is sad is living in Albany, NY I used to have season tickets to the Orange up until this season when I moved to Seattle.

Therefore my 2 favorite teams (cuse a very very distant 2nd) are the worst BCS teams in the country. Yes I painfully watch all games and cry myself to sleep.

I think I am going to be sick.

Well you can start rooting for the ****ies, they're on their way up! Or you can become a Cougar fan if you like misery.

Washington State would get waxed by anyone else one that list. They need to swallow what's left of their pride and give Mike Price a call.

As much as it hurts....I went with CU based on the fact that Hawkins is still the coach here and as long as he is here it will only get worse...:sad1:

Actually it is funny you mention that, I haven't missed a Dawgs game yet this year. Except Oregon last weekend all their games have been fun to watch. What an amazing stadium too! Lots of fun.

Maybe we should give him a call first (erm, well maybe the stripper thing wouldn't play too well in Boulder), but that dude gave Wazzou something like three consecutive 10 win seasons! That's solid freakin' football.

Not to mention, he gave the world Ryan Leaf. ****ing mouth-breather.
