Crowd Reaction To The Game?

I'm back from my adventure in Yosemite (Tuolumne Meadows - Sunrise Camp - Clouds' Rest - Little Yosemite Valley - Happy Isles, for anyone that was wondering) and can't sift through all of the 3,000 unread messages. What I am reading seems to indicate a complete sense of apathy in the stands of Folsom Field Saturday. Was that the general feeling that came across to those in attendance and to those who watched on TV? Or was there a tinge of disgruntlement with boos and people throwing crap onto the field and stuff?

Is our oline really that bad? Our running game has been complete crap now for what, 3 games?

It was mostly apathy, with a few scattered boos.

Yes, the OL is really that bad. Hansen was running for his life back there, and there was nothing open for Speedy.

It was a confusing mix of shock and/or acceptance...

You could have studied, or read a book at times during the game.

Yes, the O-Line was that bad. Partially do to the playcalling, we ran a lot of playaction, and by the time TH turned back around after faking the handoff, he had at least 2 guys right in his face. I though last year was bad... We are bad.

i only watched on tv, but in the first half, that's about as quiet as i can remember folsom since the fairbanks days. back then, there were frequent times where we could sit and have a conversation without raising our voices while the game was going on.

i thought the fans gave it a go in the 3rd Q when the team showed some signs of getting off the mat....it was pretty loud on Burney's pick 6. but, the team wet the bed and that was that.

Just wait 'till ski season starts. No one will be at the games. How's the snow looking this year?

Very quiet stadium, a lot of apathy, a lot of head shaking, a lot of comments about how bad the team looked. I don't recall hearing a lot of loud boos though..

Lots of snow. The mountains are getting creamed right now. Good stuff. This should be a great year up there. Plenty of areas already open.

Most of the time I just sat there and shook my head, cracked some jokes about us with people around us, and then started going off on Hawk and the coaching staff, I was very entertaining to the people around me.:smile2:

:yeahthat:

I didn't get there until about halfway through the 1st quarter... so I actually got to see a hotly contested 22-17 game that we probably would have won if we could have converted 3rd/4th and One inside the Mizzou red zone. :wink2:

There were 3 separate Fire Hawkins chants in the first half alone. Dunno about 2nd half because I couldn't subject myself or my out of town visitors to the pathetic product on the field any longer. At least they liked the stadium.

Funniest thing I heard at the game was when DeStephano's commercial came on about the university landing all sots of grants for green energy, and being ranked #1 green university in the nation...Somone yells out that nobody in the stadium cared, and that we all payed to watch winning football teams.

Ah, but that's untrue. People like me are proud of being a graduate of the #1 ranked green university. I care that our football team isn't known for being a bunch of thugs too.

Given the choice, I'd prefer to be #1 in the USAToday/ESPN coaches poll.

But it is true. You weren't in the stadium on Saturday...:smile2:
