Does Polk stay at saftey now?

I think he found his true calling as a saftey but now there is some room for a big back.

Or does this mean that B-Lock finally gets some PT at RB?

Still lots of depth at RD, and Polk has potential to be a terror at safety. I say leave him be.

depends on recruiting this year. I could see it either way. He definitely has some issues with understanding angles and the responsibilities of a safety... but damn, hes pretty awesome when hes clicking!

Polk has to stay at S. He was just named a starter. Didn't he move to S because he was worried about his shoulders holding up playing RB?

I'd be shocked if he moves from safety. B-Lock and Sumler for now (in addition to our starter) and Mister on the way?

In all reality, it depends on who the coach is next year. That's the biggest unknown at this point.

Polk has a real future at S. RB position is a cluster **** (because of coaching, o-line, play calling, Hawk) but still has a good amount of talent (not that Polk couldn't compete). He should stay at safety.

We NEED Polk as a safety. I thought Mahnke had potential last year, but this year...he hasn't lived up to it, let's say. You say Polk needs some work on angles and stuff - the guys behind him really could use some help. However, we have a great position coach there.

noway why would he ? hes on the field now like he should have been so why change back to the back field he wont ever get to run cause hagone sucksass..

This staff will move him back and forth from Safety and RB until he is ruined at both positions

He stays put. Polk and two juniors are the only experienced safeties to return. At RB we'll have Speedy, Sumler, Lockridge, Quick and Mister.

Nah leave him at safety, I can't agree with all of you on the RB depth, though. So basically, we have two very small backs, Sumler, a walk on and Mister Jones, who was ignored by some schools due to questionable grades? Losing Scott hurts.

I used to think it was the depth at RB and the lack thereof at Safety that prompted Polk's switch, but now I'm wondering if Hagan had more to do with the move than anybody thought.

You bet your ass you leave him at safety. I think the kid will end up being an all big-12 safety in the next few years. He is going through some growing pains this year but give him a little time.

We better hope that Mister Jones keeps his grades up and his committment to the buffs or we are going to be in big trouble. I don't believe we have a fullback on the roster for next year and if Sumler get's hurt we are going to have a couple of 5'-6" running backs trying to pick up linebackers on the blitz. Although I did like B-Locks block on the kickoff last weekend. Pretty scary if you ask me.

Let's see, stay with a position coach who has put multiple players in the show or move to a position with no real identity since 2002? I think he stays at safety.
