Tailback question

Is Speedy durable enough to be an every down back? DS didn't get many snaps anyway, but who gets the 3rd and short carries? Do we have a bruiser-type back now?

I was surprised we didn't see Sumler in those situations against Mizzou.

And the only way Speedy's an every down back is if we go to a single back, shotgun, spread offense.

Sumler seems good enough in passing situations, but I'm not thrilled about his explosiveness running.

He looked pretty good out of the I formation against WVU last year. In fact, if I remember right, that is what Speedy prefers.

We will not change anything in our offense to fit the needs of 1 player. Have you not been paying attention.

We will continue to use our current players and call the same plays in all the wrong situations. It has taken 7 weeks to get the player groupings just right, you don't really think they are going to change them now.

Will this hurt our O-line recruiting? A big selling point has to be blocking for an elite back. Not that Speedy isn't great, he just isn't as high profile.

 It will just be the same it has all year, Scott leaving really doesn't have much effect on our tailback rotation. Sad, but true.

Scott wasn't playing anyway, especially since the surgery. It changes nothing save for pulling the train farther off the tracks.

Maybe the D-bags will actually get Lockridge a few carries now. God I hate this staff.

And NO Speedy is not durable enough to be an every down back...especially playing behind the worst OL in the country
