Wear black, not blue!

Showing up in powder blue will do more to damage our reputation than showing solidarity by wearing black during difficult times. Wear, back, not blue!

It's been made very clear its about the coach's, not the players.

And FYI Im coming naked, so, not an issue.

You gotta admit...no way Bohn could buy the publicity that this Blue Out has already generated.

If it wern't for the Blue Out, the story line to this battle of B12 basement dwellers would be pretty dull.

Protest Losing. Wear Blue.

Go Buffs!

Our colors are black and gold. Think about that for a moment, and the message that it sends by showing up in powder blue. Every time an opposing coach walks into a potential CU recruits door, he is can show them a picture of our lame butts sitting in powder blue, reminding him that CU fans will abandon him when times get rough.

Think twice before wearing a blue jersey this weekend and about the consequences it might bring. It's a nice gimmick, no doubt, but it is also something our opponents might use against us.

Wear black, not blue!

Dont tell me what to do

The symbolism is perfect and I don't understand why this is so upsetting to people....the worst times in CU history were the powder blue days, and we're not very far behind those same times right now....

It's people like this guy or any other that can't accept this simple protest whom need to be smacked in the face with a sea of Powder Blue, so that everyone knows how upset we the fans our with the current situation....Something has to change, or we'll be much worse of a laughing stock to the league as you so say.

Will you be going to the game?

Our school colors are silver and gold.
Our opponent's need not look beyond 15-30 for something to use against us.
If the CUAD can roll out a throwback look against WYO, then turnaround is fair play. Sky-Blue happens to be a throwback look, too.
I'm not buying your color arguement.

The players hate losing. The fans hate losing. Blue is the color that protests losing.

It's about abandonment as much as symbolism. At least that is what our opponents will say.

Recruits might very well think twice about signing for CU. Isn't risking failure already enough? Why should they have to risk national humility on top of that?

Wearing blue is a gimmick. And a dangerous one at that. Our Big 12 foes will love it!

Look man...I sat next to the recruits last weekend....they abandoned the hell out of any desire to want to come here 5 minutes into the game....Getting beat down 33-3 has much worse of an effect....nobody even caring at all or showing up to the game this week would have an even worse effect

If anything this is getting people fired up about a 2-6 team....and it shows that we have fans that are passionate enough to do something when they see disaster in the making....and fans that are going to be there through thick & thin

I think our Big 12 foes already love seeing us on the schedule, because right now it's an automatic W.....I can't sit back and watch that happen

I might agree with all your points, but showing up in blue is a dangerous game because we don't know the long term consequences, especially if things do not turn around quickly.

What are we going to do if the Buffs lose next year even if Hawkins is gone. Continue wearing blue?

Look, I think everyone with an interest in the program gets the point without showing up in ridiculous powder blue. Things need to change. But never before have I ever read of a situation where fans gang up on their own team to such an extent that they refuse to wear the team's colors.

It might backfire on our *****es over the long term.

hawk and losing is what is backfiring, stop thinking that a little color will ruin us forever.

Very well. A little color might very well lead to a lot of national media attention. And we might just be the worse off because of it.

Go ahead, put your blue outfits on. I for one will wear black.

Fine by me...if you're at the game cheering for the buffs, then I'm on your side...we all are

We all will be there cheering just as loud for the team as any other day...it's been made very clear that this isn't about the players or the team or the school for that matter....it's about our current group of coaches...in any event, whether we're wearing blue shirts one time to make a point has nothing to do that we still bleed black & gold at the end of the day

i think the point of the protest is that this was our team's colors during the dark days of mister fairbanks' regime...and there is symmetry with that time.

by the way...what is "*****es"?

Do you know what isn't a gimmick? Winning.
If the Buffs were in the hunt for North, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Instead CU is a basement dweller. It's the new Baylor.

If CU's admin were to shower the FB program with the same enthusiasm and resources as the Anchutz Medical campus, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Face it. CU admins are taking the fans for granted.

Do you know why Nebraska and UT doesn't have a blue out? Because they aren't teetering on a fourth consecutive losing season.

Not a person outside of the CU program knows who Fairbanks is. Do you actually think people watching on national tv are going to get the true point? What they very well might see is a bunch of people protesting their team by making a laughing stock out of themsleves...

*****es was two ** too many. Understand, smart a****?

People watching on national tv will know because the announcers will talk about it.

Wrong! Who the hell is going to watch CU play A&M outside of College Station and Boulder this weekend?

What people will see is a highlight on ESPN where the announcer makes light of the fact that CU fans are wearing blue in some sort of protest. No one will get the true point.

Our opponents will just end up using it against us.
