I just heard the team is going to wear green jerseys tomorrow.

I think its a great symbol for the fans that would rather embarrass the program and spend money on powder blue shirts, than donate enough money to the program to have a practice facility that is on par with goat state. Yet, we deserve to have a winning team. I mean goat state invented the term apathetic fans, and we dont even keep up with them in facilities. That is pretty pathetic.
Now, Im not saying that money is the only problem we have; but how can we, and I include myself in this, say that we deserve better than this? Where do we get the right to put down this team by wearing powder blue, without first looking to ourselves as to why the program has to have some big donor come in before we can build a stupid bubble? We are not some community college in the midwest. People that graduate from CU are some of the most successful people in the world.
I appreciate the passion that has went into the powder blue deal, but I wish that energy was put toward a more positive goal than embarrassing the team for poor performance. Imagine if instead of paying $10 for a t-shirt, 50000 fans donated $10 to the AD. Thats a pretty good investment toward giving AD some options in handling the leadership of the football team, instead of being hamstrung by a budget.
No matter what is meant by wearing powder blue tomorrow, there are going to be a lot of people that dont understand what you are trying to say. Its sad to think that some of the kids on the field tomorrow will have to wonder if they are not in on the big joke. Black and Gold muther****ers.

surprisingly enough, I disagree with you.

Fatty, would you prefer 20,000 empty seats? I think for some, the fact that they can show up in blue to make a statement is enough to actually get them to go to the game. Otherwise, they'd rather stay at home and work on cleaning out the gutters.

Then organize something to get 50,000 people to donate $10 each. Don't hold your breath that simply donating more money will have any effect, though.

I see FB point. I just can't bring myself to wear blue. I'll be there in my Buff hat and Shirt. My boy will be in his #14 jersey. I understand why some would want to wear blue. I am pretty ambivalent about the whole thing....

My fear about donating $$$ would be that Bohn would say, "See our donations are up, no reason to make a change".

If people are going to the game only to wear blue, stay the **** home. I expect the entitlement mentality from spoiled mamas boys like snow, but if grown-up fans would rather stay home then they are getting the performance that they deserve.

Another reason to wear blue tomorrow. To make sure he doesn't get such ridiculous ideas in his head.

So it's better to stay at home and not provide the funds you think the AD needs to make improvements than to go and wear a blue t-shirt?

This logic escapes me.

Didn't CSU have to float a bond to get their 50-yard, low ceiling, no sideline room indoor practice facility? It was a nice upgrade for them, but I don't believe that it had anything at all to do with booster support.

I dont understand the logic of fans that dont give money and then get pissed off when we dont win any games. This blue thing strikes me as a way for fans to take attention off of the game, and put it on themselves. Some of the posts on here remind me of the balloon boy's dad everytime you get some media attention. Nobody is going to realize anything that wasnt already realized before, because the fans are wearing blue.

His logic is consistent: If you don't agree with fatty, then you're wrong. Reminds me of me...when I was 16.

The illogic of your post is that the people at the game wearing blue are obviously giving financial support to the program because they paid to be at the game.

You guys think buying tickets is all it takes to support a program? No wonder this is falling on deaf ears. You all expect someone else to pick up the tab.

Where did I or anyone else say that it was all it takes?

I was specifically responding to your opinion people were going to the game dressed in blue instead of supporting the program. It was false at face value.

hate to disagree with you, but I don't think he ever made that claim. One of the things required to support the program is showing up. You would prefer people not show up correct?

But the people who will be at the game, wearing blue, will have purchased tickets - with real money - that goes to the athletic department.

And honestly, this has already opened a lot of eyes. Regardless of what happens tomorrow, the idea that there's a "fan revolt" taking place has to be sending a pretty strong message.

So if you have season tickets, make the additional donation required on top of the regular ticket price, attend games, buy CU gear, drinks, food, etc. while at the game, your are still not doing your part to make the team sucessful?

Please explain where I have failed to live up to my obligation to support the program?

Sacky, the blue thing is also being perceived by the players as a shot at them. I understand the anger, but consider all of the consequences. Now, I'm sure one response will be "great, maybe it'll light a fire under their asses." So, if you think it's the right thing to do, so be it. Hell, I think your a pussie for owning anything "Powder Blue!"

Some might say you're a pussy for wearing a pink suit. But we all know, real men wear pink. So your good. I don't think the players are perceiving it as a shot towards them. It was made rather clear it was towards the staff. I know 2HellNback said he spoke with some of the players and Hawk is trying to spin it that way (not sure if there's any truth to this) but they're smart. They should know the truth.

Oh hell. Give me a break. This is big boy football, or so we've been told. What we're talking about doing is absolutely tame in comparison to what has gone on elsewhere. What would the consequences be? Honestly? What are the consequences? I'm having a hard time coming up with any.

I own plenty of powder blue shirts....so my $10 will be going to the concession stand at the game...i'm so glad i'm not wasting my money though...thanks for looking out for me!
