The good
-Anyone who thinks Tyler Hansen does not have potential to be an above average Big 12 QB is not paying attention.
-Simas is finally turning into a legit receiving threat with McKnight.
-Guys never gave up.
-The option play for the TD. Thank you coaches.
-We won.:smile2:

The bad
-Still inconsistent from one quarter to the next.

The ugly
-The special teams give up a TD a game lately. That TD return could have been a back-breaker.
-Ten penalties, many of those coming pre-snap. Inexcusable and a major sign of an undisciplined team.
-Pass protection is still spotty at best.

You could just say "our coaches haven't been paying attention".

Agreed on all points. How Hawk still thinks Riddle is a good coach is just beyond me. If Hawk gets another year, Riddle HAS TO go. Same with our ancient OL coach, is it me or is the OL playing worse as the season goes on? Yet again more penalties coming after just getting the ball, unacceptable.

Simas and McKnight is a very good duo.

Geer and Devenny are also a good duo.

Speedy running hard and quick, I wish he would dance a little less. That breakaway run for 3rd and 10ish or so, if he wouldn't have been dancing with the safety in front of him he probably could have just ran down the sideline for a few more yards instead of getting caught from behind. Great play ball by Kiseau on that one.

Defense seems to stiffen really well, I wish they'd play like that the entire field. We always seem to lose the field position game because our D loves to give up a few first downs to start off drives and our O likes to have series that go for negative yardage.

Hansen played great, bad int, but those are bound to occur.

Our blitzes are disgusting telegraphed, why can't we call it off when the offense blatantly sees it coming?

Goodman made some kicks, yay!

Lockridge is not nearly the returner Scott was, a number of returns where he didn't make the 20 yard line.

Smith is a hell of a cover corner, we need to just put him on the other teams best receiver every game.

Smart in the nickel really doesn't please me, maybe I'm grasping here, but his lack of speed really hurts us sometimes. Good player on most downs, not on 3rd and 6+.

Nearly every time we make an honest effort to run the ball, we win. Even under Hawk. It really has to suck to be an *aggie.

Totally agree.

Pretty good run blocking, too.

This. Lock can break a big return, but he tries to do too much. Don't need a HR everytime, just consistency.

I love how the ONLY blitz play we have is our best CB. We get toasted on that play more than any other. There was one time when Brown was trying to disguise the blitz, but the hard count drew him in, they recognized it, audibled and called a nice play for a first. Bull****. Get some more schemes in there Collins. It's either rush everyone or CB blitz. No packages and I don't know if I saw any stunts/twists today.

I agree. I will also give the OL some credit. We actually got stronger as the game went on for a change. Some of that had to do with changes in personnel, but it also had something to do with the attitude in the second half.

i'll add one bad that i'm surprised nobody is talking about. dan's dumbass decision to go for two at the end of the third quarter. if we had missed that, we would have needed to go for two at the end of the game just to tie. that's one of those dumbass coaching decisions by hawkins that have directly cost us games in the past

Meh. I was ok with the call. There was ONE minute left in the 3rd quarter. Had he not gone for it people would have been on his ass. I would have been fine with going or not going for it.

It didn't appear that aTm had a spy on Hansen, and that is a mistake. Many of the biggest gains were just him scrambling on broken plays.

aTm should have never kicked that field goal at the 3, they should have gone for it and if they didn't make it turn it over on downs with us needing to drive 97yds. Instead they got 3, kicked it with a return to about the 40, and we were able to score. THAT may have cost them the game.

It was a lot of fun to watch, but the bottom line it was just one crappy team beating another.

That's why he makes the big bucks.

Make that call, you better convert or you're a total jackass.

The pass protection & run blocking in the 1st qtr, was starting to look like last weeks game. Their slow start at the beginning of games is also a discipline problem. I would really like to see them get a lead at the start of the game and keep it.

The D's first quarter goal line stand set the tone for the game.

Nice coming out party Mr. Simas.

Rodney gets the last laugh. Nicely done.

Best of luck with the rest of your season, Aggs. Thanks for the boost.

Many of our biggest gains were not scrambles by Hansen.. broken plays or not.

Meh. You kick an extra point and at the end of regulation it's 34-34 and with overtime - end result may not have been as pretty as what we saw today.

Hindsight is always 20-20. Just enjoy the victory and look forward to next week!

GO BUFFS!:gobuffs:

Going Sinker....

what do you mean stewart gets the last laugh?

Yeah. Speedy broke 100 yrds and has his pair of sweet TDs. Chances are he'll never face A2M again. Von and his cult go home losers. It's a nice way to come back from a brokenleg end that chapter on a high note.

I completely agree. You NEVER go for two before the 4th quarter. NEVER. It should be tatooed on Hawks forehead. It worked out today, but it's a bone head move.

Meh. I probably would have gone with the PAT, but I can understand doing it at the end of the third.

How about the 4th and one at our own 20 in the 1st quarter after going down 7-0? I thought that call reeked of desperation. Desperate measures for desperate times, I guess. Or just plain stupidity.

The only reason we're not barbecuing Hawk over this is because it worked. That does't make it the right play.

I'm glad it worked, really. But it was dumb, dumb, dumb. What's the old saying? "Even a blind pig finds a nut every once in a while" That kind of sums up my view of that particular play.

The aggie fans were well behaved, but not sorry to see em head back down south with their lame ass power towels to dry their tears.

One minute left in the 3rd and you never know if this O can score a TD. If we had a great offense I'd say it was a dumbass move. Could have gone either way, just glad it worked out.
