There isn't a better school in the NCAA than CU!

I really believe that. Not just for athletes, but for students as well. But, man, I can't imagine a recruit coming here and just not being blown away but the school. I've been to Penn St. I've been to Auburn. SMU, Texas, Texas Tech, csu, etc. Now, I know a lot of you have been to way more. But CU ****ing ROCKS! I REALLY BELIEVE THAT CU FOOTBALL IS GOING TO GO ****ING OFF!

As I was walking around the campus with my daughter on Saturday, well, I just love the place. The mountains. The architecture. The weather. What's not to just ****ing LOVE!

We have a very nice campus. I'd probably put the old campus at Michigan, UCLA (I was there long, long ago), and the University of Florida on the list in terms of pretty campuses. Sadly, or not, none of them have mountains.

I love him too! I love everybody! ALL WE NEED IS LOVE!

Seriously, though, CU has a ton to offer any kid from any background. A great education. A beautiful campus. And, soon, a great football program!

As for Hawk, I believe that failure should be tolerated a little more. Because failure, especially to those that are achievers, serves to re-focus people. Most people do not want to fail. When they do, they learn from it. Hell, I'd even say that it is good to fail sometimes.

I disagree. Buffs should win every game ever.

i agree and i remember saying the same thing growing up and then asking why a kid would not want to come to CU over any other program in the nation and the answer was....

they want to win.

Then take up the challenge, be a man, and come here and win, mother ****er! Real men and women don't look at the past and what has been. The look at the future and what will be. They look at the present and how they can make a difference!!!

Ever see the Rose Bowl on New Years Day? Yeah, it's not on campus, but it's UCLA's home venue and it's damn impressive...that's why so many frozen midwesterners used to migrate out here...all because of the Rose Bowl Parade and bowl game.

Would you rather go with the flow and join an established winner, or would you rather be part of creating a winner? I know most of you think I'm a nut case. So be it. But I really, honestly, do not get why a kid would not want to be part of building rather than a part of sustaining.

I love your enthusiasm DBT but the current coaching staff can only play the, "come help me build a winner" card for so long before it sounds like a bunch of BS.

we had our chance last year and this year to be "a hot team on the rise" and we didn't come through. in fact, we wet the bed more than once. so, "we're ready to pop" is going to be a rough sale on the recruiting trail if Hawk is back for 2010.

but, i agree about CU. i got a great grad education at CU** and have enjoyed working here since 05. there's a lot of things to like about the campus, town, and setting.

**chose CU over USC and Illinois as a native Coloradan and lifelong Buff (and based on the program and Boulder vs. LA was a no-brainer for me).

Yeah, mon. Cuz like ya' know if Folsom were a musical venue, it would be like Red Rocks or the Royal Albert or Carnigie Hall. Who wouldn't want to play in Folsom, dood!

Sure there are bigger venues like JerryWorld and happy valley and death valley and between the hedges, but they are too big and lack that jensay-quat or like whatever those frenchies say.

Rock On Garth!

Agreed and I think that may have already worn out. We're all pretty knowledgeable fans and we think we're in a mess, what on earth can clueless HS recruits think? They know to look at records and scores and that's probably it. Seeing us on TV getting blown out in many of our games this year has to have turned off a number of recruits.

Seen all three. It's also a long commute from Westwood to Pasadena. The U is currently making a similarly lengthy commute to Land Shark Stadium  but its not nearly as pretty and the stadium is not nearly as historical.

Failure should be tolerated a little more? 4 years is enough. This is the dumbest thing you've said, and there's a ton to choose from.
