Stanford up 35-21 with 13 to go.
Thus (hopefully) proving that once again the Condoms are vastly overrated.
EDIT: Make that 42-21 on a Cardinal pick six.
WOW! Stanford now up 48 - 21 ... scored a TD and then went for TWO to make it an even 50, but stopped short of the goal.
Wonder if that will have any repurcussions in the future.
Woody Hayes did the same thing against Michigan in '68 ... Bo Schembechler in his first year at UM in '69 had his players wear jerseys with the '68 score the whole practice week before the OSU game. Michigan beat what was then considered the best team in CFB history 24-12.
55-21?!? That's twice now that USC got spanked this year, and this one was at home. :wow:
Yeah ... this might even drop them out of the Top Ten.
this is the first game stanford has won on the road against a good team, though. maybe a turning point.
I think many folks considered it a turning point when Stanford won in the Collisseum two years ago.
FWIW....
Stanford is the most physical team I've seen in the Pac-10 this year.
Harbaugh is a great college coach. They are sitting on the (Scout) #12 recruiting class in the nation right now.
But, Harbaugh will not be there too long. It's Stanford, after all. And not all of their recruits will qualify. I don't ever seeing them being a dynasty or perennial power.
Stanford, Arizona, Oregon State and Oregon can still win the Pac. It's great to see it so up in the air with only a couple of weeks to go... Let's just keep the Ducks 70+ year Rose Bowl drought continue for at least another year :smile2:
Harbaugh is impressing me. Just proves you can get the job done at program with tough academic qualifications.
Jim Harbaugh is demonstrating at a tough acadenic school what a strong ground game complemented by a good passing attack ... rather than the opposite ... can do for a program.
You know ... like we had in 2001-02.
Exactly.
As I posted in another thread:
Is 3 losses and a 30 point loss at home enough for the NCAA to finally bring justice to USC?

I think you mean STANFORD'S Rose Bowl Drought. Oregon has been there recently and got pasted by Penn State. I don't believe Arizona has ever been there.
