Another long offseason...

Our season is over, quick as it went by and as depressing as it may be. From the early season losses to CSU and Toledo, to the heart breakers and hope that were UT, OSU and Nebraska, 2009 was a tough one to take. I won't soon forget about the supposed "blue out", the transfers of DS (our savior) and his uncle (our spark), and the lamenting that went along with it. I will remember the pain on Darian's face, the players that have stuck with us through thick and thin as well as their fight, too.

Somehow, it makes me proud to be a Buffaloe, to fight through it all, and I can't wait until we get it back. Until then, the bowl season will have to suck another year...

supposed "blue out"? What was "supposed" about it?

yeah, you're correct. But it was a bit of hype, too. I don't think there were more than a thousand fans wearing blue that day.

Disagree. There were a lot wearing blue. Might not have been the obvious blue shirt, but at least 10 people right around my seats were wearing subtle items like blue headbands, blue ribbons, blue pins, ... (not that 10 > 1000, but you get the idea)

Whether the AD chooses to admit it, a large number of fans participated in the blue out.

I was there and I'd call it a "smattering". That was just my impression.

That's about right. Somewhere between 1-2k, if I was going to guess.

Back to topic:

I love the offseason. Hope renews. And this year I also get to watch a very entertaining brand of CU basketball.

The main goal of the blue out was to create a hub bub and raise the public and administrations awareness about fan dissatisfaction about our ****ty coaching. If it accomplished that through event publicity instead of the actual event, so what? Mission accomplished.

Well we are 15 days in and its obvious we didn't get out points across strong enough..

Nothing is changing other than people jumping ship.. :sad1:

I feel bad for the players who've had to deal with the losing and bad coaching.. Its unfortunate there isn't much to celebrate anymore or anytime soon..

I can't deal with another off-season off glitter and BS from dal ward. There will be many more trips to portland, seattle and the 5 major mounts this year.

It is what it is and the people up there have spoken and I'm done hearing it. Wake me the day before the csu game.....

This team is going to be terrible for the foreseeable future (5+ years). There is simply no way around it. It is entirey likely that CU football is headed to the gutter long-term. Recruiting is going to be worse than Iowa State's this year, and it is going to get worse. Coaching will be worse. Everything is set up nicely for this team to have a .300 win % annually.

There is no hope for the future, really. Most of the bright spots in this recruiting class have decommited. I will be shocked if there are not more high-profile player transfers.

Call me a pessimist if you want. We are in line for a long string of 10th-12th place finishes in conference. You can thank Dan Hawkins, if you like. But he is going to take this program back to the stone age. He's already well on his way. The only way to go with him at the helm and his acute failures to recruit or to coach with even a moderate level of competence is all the way to the basement.
