Turner Gill To Interview For Kansas HC Vacancy

I like that so many of the guys KU is talking about would bring a run first offense. KU does not have the personnel to play that and it will take a few years to transition. Worse, Mangino did not recruit well even after their big Orange Bowl year. They may have to get used to last place in the North.

No, last place is ours as long as this staff is here. Besides, first year head coach, that's an automatic win vs home run.

Im fairly certain we have the spot locked up. :sad2:

What I see here is that CU is leading the pack. Well, the 'pack' of us and KU. That pack. We are leading. heading up the charge. Got our horns out and lunchpails full.

If Turner Gill gets the KU job. He will become the B12 North's worst nightmare. He is going to be that good of a coach for them.

You know how sometimes CU fans gently tease nebraska fans for believing every thing ever associated with husker football is the greatest thing ever?

Turner Gill's record at Buffalo:

2006: 2-10
2007: 5-7
2008: 8-6
2009: 5-7

Considering that Buffalo's best record in the 5 years before Gill was 3-8, he is doing a good job. But come on, the guy's 20-30. He needs a couple more seasons like 2008 (or better) before he should be getting the hype he is.

No doubt. If they are seriously considering Turner Gill, then I would encourage KU to seriously consider Dan Hawkins!!! His record over the past 4 years is about the same as Gill's, and he was 53-11 at Boise State. Seems like a no brainer to me.

I think Gill could do a pretty decent job, but I'm not quite sure calling him the biggest nightmare to the B12 is quite the answer here either.

:lol: Yet you and others feel hawk is going to turn it around and deserves another year...

2006: 2-10
2007: 6-7
2008: 5-7
2009: 3-9

I think gill is over hyped a bit but it's amazing how people forget or ignore our own "home run"

According to Dan, we were "one play away" from being last in the B12 North. Something to strive for next year, I guess.

Good luck finding a post of mine where I say Hawkins deserves another year.

What I'm saying that it is what it is. He's our coach next year. You can choose to support him and the program or you can, at every opportunity, express your fanhood by ripping on anyone and everyone who does so.

Edit: Or I guess you could also take a year off, or find another team, or just cool it.
