Ingram or McCoy...

For Heisman?

It looks like Tebow is out of the running unless he comes up with a miraculous come from behind finish.

What does Colt have to do against Nebraska to have a chance?

Will Suh and the crackshirts end his Heisman chances?

Personally, McCoy is really good, but he hasn't been dominant this year. I think Shipley has been the better player for the Horns.

Ingram also has Julio Jones and an emerging McElroy on the squad, but he makes that team work with his hard interior running.

I would like to see the RB win it, just to end the streak of QBs.

I think McCoy will win it barring a bad game tonight. Even though the Heisman is theoretically a 1-year award, it'll essentially be a "career" win of the award for McCoy.

Between MCcoy and Ingram, I think Ingram will win it. Mccoy could win it if he blows away the fuknutz tonight.

Gerhart made his case last week. Ingram is at the front now with his performance today. McCoy needs to do two things to stay in contention today. The obvious one is win. #2 is stats. TD to INT should be at least 2 to 1 and hanging 300+ yards on the nubs would help. Get some rushing yards while he's at it.

After the game Ingram just had, hard not to vote for that kid.....nice game Bama...roll tide roll

Contrary to popular opinion, I think MCcoy could have that big night tonight. Nebraska's D is not what everyone thinks it is... after all our offense scored 20 on those guys. If an anemic O like ours scores 20 UT can score 40+.

I still think Gerhart is a better RB than Ingram, but considering his team is irrelevant nationally, Ingram will win it. McCoy could have won it, imo, but played himself right out of it. An average game and he wins it I think.

It sucks that Gerhart doesn't have a game this week to showcase his talents. The dude deserves the heisman but won't get it cause most people haven't seen stanford play.

I'm guessing it goes to Ingram.

How'd that work out for ya??? Ingram wins it followed by Gerhart, McCoy, and Suh. Tebow tripped over his own d**k tonight and plummeted even further than he had been before that.

What? Are you implying Tebow was anything but the favorite before today? He actually wasn't that awful in the game, not a good game by any means, but McCoy and his 3 picks were a lot worse. Florida lost because their defense got ran the hell over and their OC freaked out and stopped running the ball.

I fail to see why so many people seem to vehemently hate Tebow. I get that ESPN is in love with the guy, and it seems like every time you turn around he's saving some poor indigenous people and there's a gameday piece of it, but I don't see why that's any reason to hate the guy. He also is a little overrated imo, not the greatest college player ever, but again, no reason to hate the guy. I'm not responding directly to you ColoradoHusker, just making an observation.

I was responding to the comment that NU's defense wasn't as good as advertised. They single-handedly destroyed McCoy's heisman tonight. I think Tebow lost it tonight because he again looked like crap against a good team. I have nothing against Tebow, but UF isn't that great and without the talent around him, neither is he. Bama shut him down all day today and he doesn't deserve it. Like I said, Ingram, Gerhart, Suh are my top 3.

I stepped on my dick there.

Ingram.

Well I was clearly wrong trying to compare the O-line of UT and CU. CU's must be better than I first thought. Well UT and McCoy DID win last night so in that respect it worked out just fine... any NU loss is really a win in my mind.

Oh... and I change my unofficial vote... Ingram.

I definitely agree. I don't know if I'd call Tebow and Florida not great, Alabama is just that good imo. I won't be upset if Ingram wins it, but I think Gerhart is a much better RB than he is. I don't even know what their stats are on the season, lets see

Toby Gerhart #7 RB

2009 STATS ATTEMPTSYARDSTOUCHDOWNS3111,73626

Mark Ingram #22 RB

2009 STATS ATTEMPTSYARDSTOUCHDOWNS2491,54215
I'm not sure if ESPN included yesterdays game in those stats, but it should be mentioned that Ingram played in an extra game. Gerhart had more carries, but his touchdowns blow Ingram's out of the water.

I can't believe that Gerhart scored over 73,000 touchdowns!

 wtf

copy paste from ESPN fails I guess.

Gerhart 311 attempts, 1,736 yards and 26 touchdowns
10 catches 149 yards 0 TDs

Ingram 249 attempts, 1,542 yards and 15 touchdowns
30 catches 322 yards 3 TDs

Looks like Ingram is the better pass catcher, maybe that evens them up.

Suh is starting to get the votes now. Multiple first place votes...but still very early. He more than likely will get an invite which is huge in itself, but Ingram will win. Suh will get most all of the Defensive type awards.

NU's D took that game off pretty much. Did what they needed to do when they had to do it in that game. Had the North wrapped up, took some plays off, and still won the game!
