So, is CU's performances against NU and UT a good sign?

It's a sign that we have the talent to compete with anybody, but a coaching staff that is incompetent.

The good sign from the UT game was that our young d-line could hold up in 2009 and had some talent going forward.

The good signs from the NU game were that our o-line could handle a great d-line, our WRs can produce against a good defense, and both groups return everyone for 2010.

Still losses and far from complete games, so it's hard for me to say that there's a "team" takeaway from those performances that translates into wins. But we do have 3 position groups I feel good about heading into spring ball.

yes, i see buffaloes losses as good signs. i am hopefully optimistic for an 0-12 season next year

You can spin it however you want, but there is still no denying we need serious work on special teams. That accounts for 1/3 of the game.

I guess it was too much to expect anything positive from you guys.

Hey, I'll take a dose of encouragement wherever I can get it.

Did you sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last nite?

I don't think too many big 12 teams circled the CU game in red. There is not doubt there is different levels of intensity for different games. If CU would of shown the intensity just once that Alabama or Nebraska showed yesterday they could probably accomplish big things.

Yeah, intensity is something this team really needs to get. Maybe with more upper classmen, they'll get it. But I'm still encouraged that our OLine handled 'braska pretty well. We also put 400 plus yards on them. I'm not saying there isn't a long way to go. But, hell, it's easy to rip on this team. I like looking for things to build on.

somewhat. but Toledo and CSU and mizzou and ISU and KSU and the 2d half against UT and the red zone issues against kNU and the coaching collapse against OSU and etc... WERE NOT GOOD SIGNS.

You get the point?

Well, I look more at Okie St. and 'braska. I have no clue how we could begin the season like we did. That sucked. But I see some things to build on.

When you suck as bad as Hawkins makes this team suck, there's plenty to build on.

It's a sign of suckage.

DBT, UT was looking past us to the Red River and NU had nothing to play for outside of winning and staying healthy. I take nothing from those loses. We lost and by the way, we lost to some ****ty teams as well - Toledo and CSU come to mind.

We'll see. I'm sick of arguing with you people. But I think we are going to be much better than you think.

It's a fair question to ask DBT. My take is no, because the Big 12 is wretched garbage this year. I'll reserve my final opinion when I see what Nub and tu do in their bowl games.

I think tu is real trouble against 'bama. tu is not physical at all & Saban can coach circles around Mr. February.

We'll hear how well the OL is doing in the off-season and then play csu and get dominated by 4 new inexperienced DL.

fify.

was last year's NU game a "good sign"?

I seem to recall everyone here at Allbuffs was all excited and were saying we tried so hard, we fought so hard in that game, if he missed a 57 yard field goal we would have won, blah,blah..

I was not one of those people and put the blame strictly on Talkins and his coaching staff(hell*****$) for his piss poor conservative play calling (run Sumler right into the ass of the OL every 1st and 2nd down during the whole 4th quarter)..

DBT you are aware that save for a fluke TD pass at the end of the game against Nebraska that both games would have been double digit losses.. But hey I guess in your warped world that's a good thing.

I was going to repond, again, but then I realized no one could be this ridiculous. So go ahead, take another hit, and laugh at our reactions to your silly statements...:wow:

No.

There are no positives with CU football.

The team sucks, Hawkins suck, the facilities suck, the AD sucks, the assistant coaches suck, the recruits suck, the fans suck, the administration sucks, etc., etc. It's amazing that any recruit would consider signing at CU, any assistant coach would want to work at CU, and any player would want to stay at CU instead of transferring because all CU has going for it is the mountains and its mascots.

DDDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of you should make something like this your signature. That way, you could save yourself hours this offseason posting variations on this theme multiple times in every thread. Instead, just reply with "see below" and we'll know what you mean.
