Seriously, having trouble keeping any sort of faith that CU sports are gonna turn things around. Without administrative support and bereft of competent leadership at nearly every level, with the remaining decent coaches leaving the FB team...

I dunno guys, I just don't see a light at the end of the tunnel. Hawk ain't going nowhere till his contract runs out or Benson is gone. I am just gonna have to stop caring soon...

So, what do you guys think? Is there a light at the end of the tunnel? When do we start actually trending upward again? Cause scarily enough, I have a feeling we haven't hit bottom yet.

worst athletics era at CU I can think of. Bohn is a moron, the higer ups dont care, Hack is an idot, our teams suck, and CU is the worst team in Colorado let alone beyond the state line.

this nightmare has got to end, we can only go up from here but that will not happen until a major turnover in staff all the way up and a major shift in the attitude of athletics at a major college. So many other schools "get it" ours has lost its way. severe disappointment at the state of affairs of CU athletics.

:sad1:

see, i don't really even see anything that dramatic. it's worse, we sleepwalk to another 3-5 win season. more of the same. maybe they fire the guy a year from now.

gonna be a long, boring year full of an endless repetition of the same-same accompanied by too much "up-talk" from the HC.

Exactly. We'll win 4-5 games by a razor thin margin and we'll get blown out at least a few times. And the rhetoric will not match the product on the field.

there will be a game or two, like say we play OU within a score or Cal or UGA, which is supposed to silence any criticism when we lose to KSU, ISU or CSU because we've shown "we can play with the best"....

moral victory-ville. hoo!

And several coaches will call Dan Hawkins during the season to tell him he is doing an excellent job.

No, there's light. It's just a really, really long tunnel.

"Due to CU budget cuts the light at the end of the tunnel has been temporarily turned off in order to save energy and shift other priorities over sports, thank you for enjoying CU athletics good-bye."

Ye of little faith.

I plan to be at every game I can, saying "I told you so" when we have a great season in 2010.

head says we are done. stick a fork in the program for years and years now.

heart says "so, you are saying there is a chance!"

it is very discouraging, i'll give you that.

I will be there too man. Don't know why, but I will.

I'll be there because the Colorado Buffaloes will always be bigger than anyone getting paid to make decisions for the program. And a win always feels better when you get to witness it in person.

this is f-in pathetic. Bohn, Distefano and Benson have made a mockery of CU athletics by supporting the ineptitude of Hackins. We might as well go to the WAC and be forced to earn ourselves back into the Big XII.

sack up. Jesus.

bitch, bitch, bitch.

Are you implying that I am some sort of a jinx for my teams? If that´s the case, I am now a life-long and die hard UW and Seattle Seahawks fan.

Quite the contrary:smile2:

If anything I consider myself a jinx for all sports related activities since 2005.

I'm implying you are already a diehard. (In fact if you root for the Seahawks by definition you are a diehard too, so.... dunno on that one).

The UW will always take fans. They're traditionally popular with the entire Pacific Rim, and in particular the islands of Hawai'i and Samoa...

As for the initial comment. I'm commenting on a fan of Colorado and CU in general who is not a citizen of the country, yet who has taken personal vacation time to visit the greatest state in the U.S.A. THAT is dedication and committment, and you are a proud fan of CU!

My point was that you are a great Colorado fan, and if things get to the point where you decide to not care anymore about Colorado athletics, then it becomes crystal clear to everyone not in this state that we're dead.

So no, I'm not calling you out. I'm calling you a great fan and as long as you still have a vested interest then I will know that all is not lost...

It would help if the coaches would give us something to latch on to. Something positive. Instead we just lost a pretty good position coach and our best recruit in the last three days. The coaches keep giving people ammunition, pretty hard to spin things these days.

sigh. I was gonna look for this thread to bump it, but it looks like you guys got it well in hand... :dbt:

Oh, it's well in hand. Not much else to do in the off-season. We're talking about the same thing, right?

Really, does all that ass you're getting--Mr. Single College Student Guy-- prevent you from occassionally taking matters into your own hand?
nothing wrong with taking.. umm... control of the situation. However, you seem to treat it as a first, instead of last, resort. :smile2:
