Allbuffs season tickets - time to make a decision.

For any new members to the board, Allbuffs.com has, for the last two years, owned a set of season tickets to the CU football games.

Now is the time for us to decide whether we want to renew or not. I'm still willing to do the legwork and get the tickets distributed. So, if you're still on board, please respond to this thread.

If we are going to do it again, it will have to work slightly differently than it has in the past. Before, I'd have you write a check to the athletic department. They don't want us to do it that way anymore. From now on, we'll have to have everybody write me a check personally, and I'll turn around and buy the tickets. I don't know if that makes a difference in your decision making process or not, but it's something to consider just the same.

As soon as I get the renewal form, I'll update you as to how many folks we need to contribute. My guess is that it'll be somewhere in the 15-16 range.

Oh, and please, let's not turn this into a "Hell NO, I'm not giving any money to those asshats until they fire Hawkins" thread. If you're willing to pony up the $25 for the tickets, let me know. Otherwise, just ignore the thread altogether.

Hell NO I'm not giving any money to those asshats until they fire Hawkins!

Luckily the AD changed things and you'd be the only asshat I'd actually be giving money to. I can live with that. Count me in....

Ill be in... i wasnt around last year to donate.... to me its about helping someone have a good time when they may not be able to afford it.

Will you take my money out of vcash?

Well ****, that's more people in than there are tickets. There goes my shot at actually getting any...

I'm in again. I won't be renewing my season tickets so I may just need to throw my name in for these tickets this year.

i am in, too, for the ab season tix.

but, i am on the fence re: my own and on donations and such.

I believe Chippy has won tickets every year. Come to think of it, we've done this for three years now, not two.

Something else to consider:

Season ticket holders get preference for away game ticket purchases. With all the people wanting to go to the Cal game, this may be a good way to score some tickets. I, for one, am going to need five tickets to that game.

I have not yet received the renewal packet, but I suspect we're pretty close in getting the requisite number of contributors so that we'll be able to renew. I think 3-4 more will do the trick.

And I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by the response. Nice work allbuffers.

OK.
Here is the deal. Our set of season tickets costs $484.00. We currently have 17 people signed up. We can do one of two things; We can either have everybody chip in $28.50, or we can get three more people to chip in $25.

Also, and this is important, there is a place on the order form to request away game tickets. ANYBODY who wants a ticket to any away game should let me know. I'll put in for the tickets. I'll be billed separately, and will contact anybody who requested the tickets and let them know how much they cost. This might be a particularly useful tool for the Cal game or the *ebraska game, as this will very likely be the last time CU plays in Lincoln. :woot:

I'm going to give people another week to commit to the cause. After that, I'm going to assume that the people who have committed will kick in an extra 2-3 bucks UNLESS THEY SAY OTHERWISE. I'm usually not big on making assumptions like this, but it seems to be easier than getting all 17 people to say "Ok sacky, I'll kick in another 3 bucks".

Questions? Issues? Problems?

Very nice, Im impressed. This stuff is what makes AllBuffs special, and sets it apart from other fan sites. You guys are good fans.
