Hello Buffs! New member here...

I am a UTE and live in Salt Lake City.
This is my first post to just say hello and make my introduction.
I see some opinions on this board about UTAH and what might happen if all this expansion stuff becomes reality. I would like to give my input on two points I have recently read here regarding UTAH.

First, UTAH is on track for AAU membership and that process should come to fruition sometime in 2015 to 2017, from everything I have read on the subject.

Second, UTAH and byu are not at all tied at the hip. That may have been true as recently as ten years ago, but is no longer the situation.

If all this stuff happens and our two schools are designated as regional rivals, here's to looking forward to many great battles.

Welcome! Thanks for the insight. We hate red around here, but you seem alright so far.

Welcome aboard!

Hopefully things will break the way most of us would like... and we'll hate you soon. :smile2:

GET LOST YOU PATHETIC RED GOON!!!

:smile2:

(not really, I was just practicing)

Thanks for the input and look forward to hopefully seeing ya'll in the PAC 12/14/16.

It's gonna take a couple of important beat downs from the Utes for me to really mean how i started this post.

hey ute! yep, i'd love for our 2 schools to make the move to the p10(12)... i think the rivalry could become very fierce. supposedly, it was a big rivalry way, way before my time.

and, as noted by others, we already hate the color red with fury so you guys are already half-way toward rival status and we haven't even started playing as conf. opponents yet. plus, i figure you guys will put a couple good beatins on our poor Buffs early on so that should help us build a nice hot rage too.

fingers crossed on the move, for both of us. it is good to hear that you guys aren't considered wedded to byu. actually, shouldn't byu be wedded to at least 2 schools? ok, that was a cheap shot at them. bwahahahaha.

anyhow, we'll see how it all plays out.

Last time CU played Utah was in '62. It's about time to renew this historical rivalry. Let's get it on!
BTW: CU leads the series against the UTES, 30-24-2

Either way we get to play the Utes again starting in 2012. 9/22 here in Boulder; 9/21/2013 in Salt Lake!

welcome, people who type their team´s name in CAPITALS are annoying tho.

Welcome! Good to have you here. Never to early to start developing a good mutual hatred for our future rivals... Your first post isn't giving me much to work with, though.

Count me as another in favor of the move to the Pac-10, and hoping that UofU is making the move with us. There is an old rivalry between CU and UU and I think the two schools and areas have enough in common to fit in well together as the new guys in the Pac.

As others have mentioned, we already have a natural loathing of the color red. We have a lot of material stored up with which to talk **** to them. It seems a shame to waste it all and have to start from scratch. So, if you could please indicate which of the following topics might be applicable to your fanbase, it would save us a great deal of time in preparing for the transition. Thanks...

[ ] Inbreeding
[ ] Beastiality
[ ] Incest
[ ] Profound stupidity
[ ] Calling a God forsaken wasteland home
[ ] Highest point in state a burning manure pile
[ ] Morbid obesity
[ ] Rampant venereal disease
[ ] Pride in citing Larry the Cable Guy as an alumnus
[ ] Pride in invention of the McRib as an achievement
[ ] Unnatural obsession with General Motors vehicles
[ ] Disturbing love affair with meat stuffed pastry pockets
[ ] Creepy blow up mascot

Thanks again. If you have any suggestions re: that list, please let us know. :smile2:

Welcome! Don't believe much that Wally tells you. He actually likes one or two Red people who frequent this place. He can't admit it though, because he would get ran out of town.

we all like a few red guys around here. you're probably one of them, cause you're not a dickhead and you donated.

Nice to have you abored! I think the darker red the Utes wear won't incite as much anger here as the commie red that the Butthuskers seem to favor. Anyway, I hope both schools can make it to the Pac10 and renew the old rivalry. (before my time) Has anyone asked you to get them a beer yet? If not, get used to it.

:shakehands:

He's in UTAH. It didn't seem worth the bother to ask him to acquire beer for us....

Look forward to some late Nov. games against red clad teams to continue. One way or another! Welcome and I hope we do end up in the PAC 12 with ya!

Good point! Besides, they may not have beer in the county he lives in. If I remember correctly, they have some very strange liquor laws in Utah?

this crimson ****er is here one day, has one post, and already has enough positive rep for "splendid one to behold" status?

i am ashamed of you all...

CU is a virtual unknown around here too. It seems to be a pretty even distribution between Clemson, S. Carolina, Tennessee, tar hole, NC State, and Va Tech fans.

we'd totally pwn the sec. florida? bitch. lsu? double-bitch! 'bama? tiny little bitch we'd send the second team against, just to keep it interesting! we'd mudhole the entire conference. what's the sec record for consecutive conf. wins? i figure us for at least 30 or 40 straight until those punk-asses figured out how to try to at least make a game of it.

damned straight.

just don't throw us into the shark tank that is the b10! oh noeees! to hear those ****ers talk, we'd be better off playing in the nfc east than in the b10! so, so scary!!!!
