The Pinstripe Bowl in the Bronx will get the #6 Big 12 team. Nice! You can come and stay for New Year's Eve in NYC.

Am I setting my sights too low (or too high) when I ask for Hawk and Co. to grab the #6 spot in the Big 12 this season?

It's a better location, but planning for flight and airfare on VERY short notice would make it cost-prohibitive for a lot of fans. That's a BAD time to decide to up and go to NYC on the fly.

**** the Shreveport Bowl. What a pit. LSU fans show up, grab all the primo seats and leave at half time to go drink beer and have sex with their sisters.

I think it is a interesting location for a bowl game, especially considering exactly where Yankees stadium is, you don't want to spend any extra time exploring the neighborhood.

Yeah. I was there in 2004 when Arkansas beat Mizzou. Definitely not a place you want to spend any time. At least in NY you can go and make a trip out of it. Shreveport has absolutely nothing to do.

There is a subway that will take you from Yankee Stadium right down to Times Square. Airfare isn't the problem. Hotel accommodations are. It's expensive to stay in NYC. I, for one, have always wanted to see NYC all decked out for Christmas. I'd go, if the opportunity presented itself. This year won't work, though. It's got to be next year.

Unfortunately you're probably setting your sights too high.

My neighbors are from London and Jo'burg so they're never around over the holidays but are always happy to have bodies in their apt. In the past hey've used mine when the fam and I've been out of town so they owe and as long as you promise to not puke/piss on my fire escape I'd be happy to vouch for an all-buff (even Jimmy!) if it meant a true black-n-gold butt in Yankee Stadium.

You can pay me back by letting mi esposa y yo camp at your condo in Steamboat some winter weekend...:'

Lucky for you, the administration seems to have a plan in place to delay success for at least one more year...
