OK, I have to share this story.
We're going to lunch today, and this car pulls in to a space in front of us. My wife says "they have the handicapped plates, why don't they use one of the handicapped spaces?"
I say: "yes, those plates do tell us that the owner of the vehicle is handicapped, but unfortunately, it doesn't entitle the driver to park in the handicapped space. You see, those are CSU alumni plates".

The CSU logo, from about 30 feet away, does kind of look like the handicapped symbol.
