He was getting out of his cart to hit his ball recently when a trailing cart clipped him, resulting in an injury to the same ankle he had surgically repaired after a pre-season injury in Denver last year.

Sucks for Matt. I was always pulling for him as a Buff, but also because switching from DL to OL in the NFL was pretty surprising.
 
Wow that is a freak accident and too bad for him. However, at least he made 5 years in the league, which I believe means he gets an NFL pension.
 
I hope the guy driving the "trailing cart" wasn't a close friend. That would suck mightily to end a guy's career in the NFL just for dorking around at golf.
 
best wishes always McCheese. sad ending but i have know doubt he will do well at what ever he chooses to do. DLine coach for CU is a perfect start btw ;) .
