That's right, there's a huge inflatable buffalo on the practice fields. its presence i will undoubtedly make the Buffs stronger, faster, and meaner.

you go Hawk.

That is Alphie and the alumni association takes it around to various events. bcs is probably right - put up for the Bolder Boulder.

that could have been for the bolder boulder( here's hoping!)

nope, sorry. i live nearby and ride my bike or walk by every AM. this is the first morning with the HIB (Huge Inflatable Buffalo). there's also a set of cones set up around it in a purposeful way. it's going to figure into some sort of drill.

Maybe for one of the summer camps then? Kids love it.

EDIT: That is exactly what it is for:

CU Football Camps provide instruction and are open to any and all campers, limited only by the number of campers, age and gender:
Youth Camp: For Youth Boys / Girls entering 1st to 8th grades after June 1, 2010. (Two Separate Camp Sessions)

  • June 2-4, 2010 (Session I - 8 a.m. to noon)
  • June 8-10, 2010 (Session II - 8 a.m. to noon)

well, to make this thread somewhat on topic. they did start yesterday....running and doing agility stuff/stretching in the AM on the practice fields. divided into groups, probably position based but i didn't have time to stop for any length of time. they got started around 6:30.

part of the reason i assumed today's Alpine was for the team, since they got underway yesterday on the practice field.

Oh great. Yet another thread in which to rip Hawkins.

I made a mistake. i vouched for it ("that makes sense"). screw you. i remember another thread where i outlined why i thought 6 AM practices might cause academic issues with scheduling and you dogpiled me there for "ripping Hawkins", too. All i did was explain things from an academic standpoint.

Sorry! :smile2: I did not mean that as a shot at you. It was a preemptive strike,

I think we are all getting a bit too sensitive.

That's nothing new. Of course, in the past the huge inflatable Buffalo on the practice fields was named Darrell Scott...

I was hoping they were going to incorporate one of those inflatable bouncing castles into the workouts. Those things are ****ing tiring!!!

kids appear to be having a great time. one of the staff told me that they rotate fields so all the kids get to "go" on the big field in Folsom. which i think is pretty cool.

What do you mean by "go"???
