5MST/6CST: Brown with latest update after Ken Starr interview on ESPN Austin

Brown is guessing here.... Big10 is threatening Notre Dame they will be left out! Not happening. If B10 adds Mizzou, NU, and 3 from big east and Big East and ACC combine to go to 16 and SEC expands to 16 and ND is left out? Really don't think that is going to strike fear in ND. Someone will make room for them!!!!

Chip is so full of ****. "The athletic director I've been talking to". Come on. We all know who you're in contact with.

Agree, ND won't do a 12 team Big 10, but the WILL do a 16 team Big 10 if it goes that route to not get left out.

Chip Brown...."working hard - to creat misinformation". Texas doesn't trust anyone in the North except Nebraska. Come on.

This is like recruiting news. Believe 1/10th of what you read!

BTW, CB is now praising Neb on Twitter, basically saying UT thinks they're the best thing since sliced bread. I guess threats and scare tactics weren't archiving the desired effects.
ChipBrownOB
By the way, Texas officials want it clear their relationship with NU's administration is among the best in the Big 12.

ChipBrownOB
Forget Tom Osborne's disgrunted view of Texas. UT officials trust NU chancellor Harvey Perlman implicitly.

ChipBrownOB
UT probably trusts Nebraska's administration (at the chancellor level) more than anyone else in the Big 12 North.

ChipBrownOB
Losing Nebraska's administration as a trusted ally is a big reason Texas is sweating NU's possible departure from the Big 12.

He was saying that Nebraska is the strongest relationship Texas has in the big XII -- sounds like some back peddling -- There was a guy on from Husker Illustrated prior who thinks NU gets the nod from the Big X - Texas knows they are screwed out of their own network if this goes down so now they are trying to suck up a la Chip Brown -

How will UT be screwed out of their own network? I think the network is a go no matter what conference theyre in. Am I wrong?

Ken Starr (you remember him, a Clinton admin appointee) went on record today to say Texass teams have to stay together to be successful. I don't know if he's a Baylor alum or not?

Larry Scott appeared on his radio show about 10 days ago and he said any invite would be "all rights in" - no private network for the Horns

I thouight it was interesting to hear that Starr has no indication at this time that they will be extanded an invitation from the Pac 10...

Oh yeah, Brown's a tool. Sorry I'm subjecting you all to him, but he seems to be the point man on info (truth or not) and since I'm right here in his backyard, figured I'd try to y'all up on the most updated scoop.

BTW, I've got tix to the Texas Stars-Hershey Bears Calder Cup Finals if it goes to a Game 5 - Go Stars! (Texas only, doesn't extend to Dallas):smile2: Minor league hockey is awesome...

Is minor league hockey still like scenes from the movie Slapshot?

Definitely at the rookie league level like the Idaho Steelheads. The Stars, being in the AHL, isn't completely "Slapshot" but there is some fun like that to be had at the games.
