Tea leaves and rumblings around here today…

Nobody to source, yet… but it is almost to the point of unnessesary.

Whispers are Notre Dame, Nebraska, and Missouri by Wednesday. Our sports guys…. and everyone else…. working on it.

Sounds like Greenstien is hearing similar.

I hope to source later, but when the source occurs EVERYONE will know, sounds soon.

@Patrick – I’m hearing the same thing separately. I’ll try to get a new post up tonight. If Mizzou gets into the Big Ten, it looks like it can thank Notre Dame.

Pete Sampson of Irish Illustrated was on 104.9 the horn yesterday and seemed to think that ND is going to stay independent. According to him they wouldn't want to be the only member invited and be another Penn State and just the 12th school. He thinks they would only go to the Big X if Texas goes. Was interesting - check the audio vault if you are interested in hearing it - http://www.espnaustin.com/audiovault/

Would be nice to see someone else have a "scoop" on this stuff other than the UT mouthpiece, Chip Brown.

This morning he was preaching ND and only ND for B10 expansion. No mention of a ND-kNU-Mizz package from "his solid, reliable sources."

Go Frank the Tank!

ND isn't going to help form a Big tweleven in the mid west. The only way they give up their independence is if they are forced by a major 16 team conference realignment.

I agree with you Navy96 that Chip Brown is a mouth piece for UT - I think he's saying this because its in UT's best interest if the Big XII stays together so UT can start its own network. Something they would be not able to do in the PAC 10 according to Larry Scott's "all rights in" position. UT knows the conference falls apart if Nebraska leaves so he's doing his part to support UT's position

Indeed, I like Frank too. He is an Illinois grad, but by no means is he a mouthpiece for anyone in the Big Ten. He's just a 20-something recent law school grad who likes to blog...
