What are the revenue implications of joining the Pac?

OK, we will be getting upwards of $12 mil more per year. What will that do for our AD? Will it be enough to add, say, baseball and softball? Upgrade facilities? What do you think?

1. Join new conference
2. Play new teams
3. ?
4. Profit

Hit me again BCS!

My hope is to add a few key sports, such as baseball and tennis.

Pay for a bit higher quality coach

Pay for more tutors for the student athletes

Start upgrading facilities

i have to think that one of the conditions of the invitation would be a commitment to adding those two team sports. and that is one of the reasons i would fully support this move as an alum, fan, and donor.

It's huge!

First you get facilities, the foundation, in order. Upgrade Balch. Take care of your house. Once that's done, ensure your original products are solid. Once that is done add additional revenue producing products.

OK, another question: What effect will joining the Pac have on donations? Apparently, there are a **** load of alum in California. Also, there are a **** load of Coloradans in Arizona.

That reminds me, I forgot that Boulder is boycotting Arizona. I guess that means that city officials won't be going to Tucson and Phoneix to attend games. Oh the irony.

How about this revenue implication: NU, CU, OU, OSU, UT, TT, A&M all leave the Big 12. Each forfeits half their conference payments for 2 years. That $$ goes to the remaining 5 schools (unless they leave as well). Seems like a little consolation for the schools left behind.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that. If the Big XII disolves, what happens with the "fine?" Does Beebe get it?

I think 9 (maybe 8) schools have to vote to dissolve the conference, at which case there are no penalties.

I thought that if half the schools leave a conference, the NCAA considered it disbanded thus there is nothing left to collect the penalties. Someone else may know better, if so post up!

Booze, strippers, and Hummers for every recruit (both kinds). If there's any money left, 24k gold helmets.

I'd be happy to see us pay the penalty if that means texass is staying put.
