B12 South schools (TX, TTech, OU, OSU) confirm to Orangebloods.com that with Neb move they go to B10.

Hadn't seen that as a possibility. Maybe the pac 10 adds Utah to make it 12 and stop there?

He just corrected himself. Now saying:
TYPO COR: B12 Souh schools (TX, TTech, OU, OSU) confirm to OB with Neb move they go to Pac-10!!! Sorry bout that!!

Chip Brown is just trying to throw out every senario so he can say that he was right once one sticks.

Now he says:
Texas will announce its plans to join the Pac-10 after its regents meet next Tuesday, source confirm to Orangebloods.com.

This just in from Chip Brown: Orangebloods.com has confirmed Generalissimo Francisco Franco is dead....

It will still probably end up being eATMe, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for either UU or KU. It would be great to get UU and KU at the expense of eATMe and iTT.

I honestly think that at this point, Chipper is grasping at straws. I think he had an in on some of the early info, but now he's just throwing **** at the wall hoping it will stick so he can keep his face on ESPiN. Got a taste of the glory, now he doesn't want to give it up.

True, his fifteen minutes of fame have about 1:30 left...he's working it for all it's worth.

I cannot see how the PAC would invite OSU and TT. During the presser this morning Scott stressed how good a fit CU was. What's he gonna say at the press conferences for OSU and TT ?

he should explain the "grenade" principle and use an episode of jersey shore as part of the presentation.

Oklahoma State is not that much different from Washington State / Oregon State. In fact, I would say as an athletic department, Oklahoma State has accomplished quite a bit more. Their football program has not been a shining star in college athletics, but they have an outstanding basketball, baseball, golf, wrestling, etc. history.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

He also said how great atheltically Colorado was.

This is about money, and always has been.

I'd just assume drop Tech and add both KU and UU. We would still get the Texas TV market, along with KU's basketball history and prestige, and the SLC television market to boot. That scenario sounds really, really good to me. Almost good enough for me to forget that UT is part of the deal.

Something else just came to mind about this: Mike Bohn is a KU guy. I wonder if he has any influence at all in helping choose who "replaces" A&M in this little scenario.

Baylor is available..... just ask them about how important the sacred texas school relationships are.

In my mind, if the Pac is adding 5 teams, I would want them in this order: OU, UT, KU, UU, MU, OSU, Tech... Don't care after that.

This. :yeahthat:

If you are contemplating throwing in horn and sooner - how damn different is poke and sand aggy? Both schools are showing a commitment to building some nifty facilities, and therefore are committing to an arms race. I agree with Slade about O St. Their fan bases can clearly be mobilized, and they have done better than the Buffs recently. I know the B12S entourage is not a favored scenario on this board, but who can deny that two years ago, it was the South that made the B12 conference the power conference that it was.

Even for you, putting OU ahead of UT is weird.

I think OU brings a lot more than you think they do. All of Northern Texas and all of the state of OK. Dallas is just as much of an OU town as it is a UT town. We'd get the TV sets in Dallas with OU.

The official, who has knowledge of Thursday’s meeting in Austin between Texas and Texas A&M officials, said the Aggies are torn about which direction to take. When asked to confirm rumors that A&M president R. Bowen Loftin wants to explore joining the SEC but that Aggies athletic director Bill Byrne wants to go the Pac-10, the official said, “I think you’re 100 percent right.”
Also, the official said, even A&M regents are split. That includes former A&M and Alabama coach Gene Stallings, who is pushing hard for A&M to go to the SEC

Aggy may join us. This really is playing out how I thought it would. I think Utah would be a good replacement for the Aggy if they cannot make a decision.

UT AD DeLoss Dodds is a fmr AD, track coach and standout at KJUCO. Alot of good that connection had done for those folks. Just sayin'.
