and here is a link for 56 – 60:

Here is a list in terms of conference an opponent’s CU has in 2010:

CU opponents

CSU: 107
Hawaii: 86
KjST: 83
Iowa St: 75
Balor: 72
Kansas: 54

Big 12

KjST: 83
Iowa St: 75
Baylor: 72
Okie St: 56
Kansas: 54

PAC-12
Wash St: 99
ASU: 69

I must say I think it is a little strange that CU hasn’t been listed yet.

Edit: CU in at #50

Looks like Rivals thinks we may have something special going on this year. Do not agree with Baylor ranking. I am a little scared of them this year with that QB back. Not that scared though, they are still Baylor.

I think Rivals is looking at the fact that we will have more upperclassmen starters than underclassmen starters for the first time in like three years, an exprienced OL, an underrated defense that will be good if the offense can stay on the football field, and a manageable schedule this year.

One intangible is that with the news that CU is joining the Pac in 2011 (don't believe it will be 2012), the whole campus got a new jolt of positive energy and the football team is feeling it as well. I cannot see us losing to CSU especially when the Rams are replacing their OL and most likely inserting a freshman QB as the starter.

Love your optimism. I hope it happens.

The Big 12 outside of the Top 3 (OU, UT, NEB) and possibly Missouri really isn't that strong this year. Not a lot of elite teams in the league.

what does rivals know that we don't?

im cautiously optimistic...im sure hawk will suck that right the **** out of me shortly into the season

laughable.

Steele had CU going bowling last year, too.....

The Buffs have the most returning starters in the Big 12, and among the most in the nation. That's got to count for something....

Yea, he was off on that..

But, to his credit, he was one of the only if not the only publication putting KSU above KU in the Big XII north last year

Exactly! Look at how much the Big 12 has lost to the NFL in the last couple of seasons. The Big 12-2 is taking a step back this season.

Its all cyclical though.. OU and UT are young teams and Nebraska doesn't have the talent yet on offense to be a national championship contender. Seriously as much as I am down on Hawk, I think he has to really, really, really suck at coaching to not get this team to a bowl game. Outside of Nebraska and OU I don't know if they are playing another Top 25 team this year. Maybe Missouri.

#50 is about where we should be heading into the season. The article was a fair assessment, too. This team could be good, bad or mediocre. They're guessing mediocre and sneaking into a bowl game since a little over 50 teams go these days. Seems about right.

So is it a coincidence that the television series "Hawaii 5-0" is making a comeback? I think not, my friends. Book 'em, Dan H.

can we just book Dan-O on fraud charges for fraudulent representing a competent football coach

So we moved up 40 spots by losing our 2nd best WR, having a not so good recruiting class, failing to name a starting QB, losing one of our best defensive coaches (and possible DC?), and changing the offense again.. Sweet!

Man I must be down on the team when I see us ranked 50th and think that is way too high. I need some DBT enthusiasm.

Not Phil Steele (the most accurate pre season publication), he has us going bowling.
He said the same thing last year, and had us going to a bowl game.
He also had us listed as one of the most improved teams. Same prediction again this year.

Maybe if he says it enough times, it will come true ??!!!!
