Is anybody else rooting for Nebraska?

Maybe it will change when the season starts and they start flapping their mouths again, but right now I kinda want the buffs and huskers to beat the **** out of the big 12 this season, especially the Texas schools. Am I alone here? I don't feel the hatred for the huskers anymore, I am almost proud of them for sticking it to Texas and hope they crush them in Lincoln this year.

I'm with you Leash. I hate Texas worse than Nebraska now. I kind a feel a kinship with them given their similar problems with the Big-12 power structure. I wish them well until we kick their red butts in the Rose Bowl!

Screw the fuskers and Texas! I hope they both lose big this year. By your logic it would be hard to really hate Texas since all the crap they pulled lead to our invitation to the PAC. By your logic we should be thanking them.

One more time, screw the fuskers and Texas.

I don't think I'll ever root for them. They've gone from being loathed to being irrelevant.

I'd like them to beat UT, other than that I wouldn't mind them losing every game.....

I could get on board with Nebraska when their fans act like more like Kamel (spork that guy) and less like Les Nesman.

It's football for crap sake. Screw 'em until they quit clinging to statistical records like some farm report and start showing some wit and self-depricating humor. The "holier than thou" attitude is a deal breaker.

If Nebraska and UT ends up in the CCG next year, I'll repeat my strategy from 2009: I'll find something else to do.

So long as they espouse this "world's greatest fan" charade, there's no way I'm cheering for them.

You can't spell aNUs leakage without NU.

I don't know about rooting for them this year but I posted on another website that NU would become my favorite Big 10/11/12 team once we are both out of this god forsaken texas hell hole conference.

So I feel ya on this one. But in 2011 not 2010. I will still hate them this coming year as much as I ever have. I wil, however, root for them against Texas but that's it. No one else.

Wow I was hoping the question was .................................rooting for the State Nebraska to be nuked off the earth. My answer would have with out question been Yes.

I'd personally like nothing more than for the two teams leaving, to kick the crap out of the Little 10 this year. UT is spouting off about how the conference is losing it's two weakest members, etc., and how the conference will be better off without CU and NU (which is an absolute lie). I hope both teams do well this next year, further weakening the national perception of the new low grade SWC.

Absolutely. I want our last rivalry game to be for the North championship and I want the winner to be favored to win the Big 12 championship.

More, and I know I'm dreaming here, I'm holding out hope that CU can pull off their trifecta takedown for the third time. I want to beat Oklahoma and Nebraska on the road and then take down Texas in Dallas for the conference championship. That would be the ultimate way to go out.

I'm not rooting for NU in the Big Ten for sure. Once a rival always a rival.

I wouldn't mind seeing them get slapped around in the Big 10 for a few years. And I hope they get killed buy UT in Lincoln this year - especially after their "Redout around the world" thing. (Pick your color) - outs are usually reserved for when teams are playing a team that is admittedly superior to them. So now Nebraska is going the A&M, Tech, and OU route of saying that the Texas game is the most important thing to them all year. Stupid corn aggies.

F*** Nebraska all day, everyday, until the end of time. The copycat bastards almost screwed our move to the Pac. The ultimate justice will be when the new SWC crumbles and TX has to come beg the Pac to let them join and when Neb realizes they just became an "also ran" in the big10. Basically they were set up to where they only had to win 1 or 2 really tough games (incl. beating TX or OK in the big12 champ) a year to get into the BCS championship. Now they are Wisconsin.

The reasons I hate nebraska haven't changed. It's all about their self-congratulatory fan base who believes college football begins and ends in lincoln, and that the college football world owes them something.

Does Texas exhibit some of that? Sure, but at least they've earned it this last decade. I will be rooting against nebraska in every game, as always. I hope Texas puts a BIG whoopin' on them. Hopefully 70-3.

I'll gladly root against Texas in the rest of their games.

In college we said "**** nebraska, ****, **** nebraska. Still, I say "**** nebraska, ****, **** nebraska. **** nebraska forever.

I feel the same way about CU. Hope you guys crush everyone but Nebraska.

F@#% Texas.

That 1-8 record sure does have you guys riled up. Along with that "smart" play by Colt McCoy to throw the ball away to preserve the clock at the end of the Big 12 Champ game :wink2:

On that note, it looks like there is a push for the game at cal is to be a black out.

Nebraska beating Texas this year would be way cool. They beat them last year but the refs ripped the corn off! Sweet that Colorado and Nebraska left the Big 12 in the same year. Good luck to them and their new rivals, Iowa, in the Big 10.

Wait! Stop right there. How did the refs rip them off again?

Com'on. McCoy throws the ball out of bounds and the officials make a guess as to exactly how much time is on the clock when the ball passed the side line. Colt had a brain freeze and the game should have been over but the refs saved his ass.

What else were they supposed to do? Colt was born with a coffecan of TX dirt under the bed and Jordan Shipley's dad and Colt's dad were best friends and Jordan Shipley is his roommate...they clearly had no choice.

Watch the tape of the game it was a good call. No one disputes it but NU fans.
